I thought being light skinned meant you was black but had a light complexion

My great great grandfather was pawgin breh

:manny: my great grandfather was white. didn't know it until i saw a portrait of a white man in my grandfather's house when i was a kid. So eventhough I'm darkskinned, I have smooth thin hair like an Italian when I grow it out. I be looking like a dominican drug lord. We all got cac blood running in our veins, which is why sometime two dark AA's produce a light AA child. Cac blood breh.

Lightskinned African Americans are the product of white men fukking/raping your grandmothers hundreds of years ago. Even if you have two "black" parents, four "black" grand parents and even, eight "black" great-grandparents, the white blood is still in there somewhere. Darkskinned African Americans look different from pure African people too.
Only about 58% have white ancestry.

And have you looked at pictures of modern-day Nigeria? THey are a spitting image of African Americans. And these are pure Africans who range from light to dark.

Listen bruh, I think you're getting the wrong impression here. I think you're taking like I'm saying there's no light or brown people in Africa. That everybody is super black. I'm not saying that.

Whoever those tribes are, that's something else. The stock we came from were probably dark as hell coming off the boat. How else can you explain Haitians and Jamaicans being dark as they are, especially when those are the two places that barely had any mixing going on?

The average African American doesn't look like that man. We brown. If our ancestors looked like that, we would be looking white as hell after mixing for 300 years. Why is it hard for you to admit our slave ancestors were Dark? That's the only logical explanation for you to still retain your brown skin despite all this admixture.

Brazilians, Dominicans received the most. African Americans somewhere in the middle.

Haitians, Jamaicans...alot less. The only logical explanation for why they stayed so dark is because thats how we all looked originally.
