nikka what is the opposite of H20? I don't think it's fire cause you need oxygen for fire and there's oxygen in water. So is it like a rock is it space?

Dame Grease was makin' dem rugged beats and I was checkin' for that ever since I the ad in The Source.
I heard that "Good Morning America" and that "Floss, Don, One" and I was waitin'
on that mugg to drop. I went to every wrecka stow (LOL) in the city lookin' for it. I gave up after a while...

Yo man.....I haven't heard that album cause he lost my trust with his first solo and didn't want to get fooled again and wouldn't waste my money. I walked by and saw this and I was like :camby: cause I was still salty about his first solo album that got me tricked.

His album is just a small sample of all the artists in all genres who were hyped, then dropped trash albums that we ended up paying $9.99 and up for. When you are someone like myself who used to hit the mom/pop stores, best buys, etc and cop every release 1st week....you end up blowing a lot of money on trash.

I can't speak for others, but it fostered my whole justification for downloading. I figured "fukk that" these labels done stole enough of my money over the years and I'm just returning the favor.

@Piff Perkins

Not to mention, back then the albums was nearly cost $20, $18.99 was too expensive for us as a kid, we worked hard to get that kinda of money like it was a job to us when you receive your paycheck like :blessed:

I remember buying that album right before getting on the bus for school. First track was TRASH, had me like :scust:

second track was Spit These Bars which was cool, had heard it on the radio before. After that tho
:scust::scust:

left that album in the school bathroom lol

That was my same reaction, minus one thing. I actually liked the first joint, and I thought it was one of the best on there. The beat sounds corny and dated now, but "Opposite of H2O" with Jadakiss on the hook was dope at the time I thought. I don't think the beat is worse than 90% of what's on We Are The Streets for example.

Word. I don't think kids today recognize how key that was. When you bought a wack album you felt like you got cheated lol. Wasted that lil bit of dough you had and there was nothing you could do about it
:russ::mjcry:

That's such a great point. I usually get annoyed when older people talk about some "back in my day", but that was painful in the pre-Napster days. Or when you couldn't find something to download. Albums weren't even 9.99 back then either.best Buy started selling albums for $9.99 after a while, but they were usually only new releases. At least until into the 00's you were dropping about 15 bucks on an album, and if it sucked you were pissed. I remember paying like 25 bucks for double albums too. Life After Death, Wu-Tang Forever...shyt I wanna say Forever was almost $30 because of that Wu mansion tour on CD-ROM that was on there.
