I had to turn off my linkedin. Girl in another department who was flirting kept recommending me on various skill sets. During especially busy times of the year my email gets bombarded and fluff emails irritate me. So getting emails about her recommendations giving props got old real quick. Then I was getting phone calls for interviews for jobs completely out of my abilities. The final straw was folks I used to work with wanting to connect, meanwhile I never viewed us as friends. Just folks I worked with and didn't have that much going for them for me to see any reason to network with them. So I cut that sh!t off.

Why not test the concept manually at first? If the market is there build the platform. You can easily outsource that part. You can get funding for it if you show investors there is a market.
