the OP dumb ass made it seem like the game has passed a top 3 coach oat by when this stint shows that even with a depleted team his way of coaching still works. It doesnt matter that the stars are aligning or whatever. It can and is working.

great point....OP was saying that Pop should have LMA and DeMar taking a million 3s because that's the new wave....and Pop was like that's not what they do best but I'm going to maximize what they do and what's best for this personnel and still get good looks from 3 because this is what I have to work with...
This is also why Pop never got left behind. He always changes his system to fit his players and maximize their talents. He's not stopping them from shooting threes because he hates threes, the man helped lead the charge into the new era with that corner shyt and swinging the ball around the arc in 2013/2014. He's not letting them shoot threes as they're trash at threes and efficient within the arc. Forbes pretty much only shoots threes...because that's what he's good at. Pop is an all time great coach with a great case for best coach of all time, calling him out was stupid.
He even tried calling Phil out. Phil got swept out the 2nd round in his final year, he didn't go out like some bum. That was after 3 straight final appearances and back to back rings. The game didn't leave him behind, he just retired.
Calling them out while capping for Steve Kerr that manages to mismanage a team of 4 all stars offensively is also hilarious. I don't care how good the Warriors have been since getting Durant, they should be a hell of lot better and missing Curry this year exposed how badly he manages to adjust his gameplan. It just became KD/Klay trying to carry the team every night.
Gil's stanning as gotten worse as the years progress and it wouldn't be so bad if he just owned it, but he acts like he's objective. Rather than giving Harden his due he'll duck and then wait until the playoffs to try to discredit everything Harden did the entire season like it was all meaningless. Rather than concede Warriors playing like shyt, he'll wait until Boogie comes back and act like them winning the championship isn't what we expected anyways with Boogie's return. Draymond been a trash player offensively this year and is becoming a liability, but he'll just point to his defense like that somehow negates the fact he flat out isn't guarded on offense.

I get @Gil Scott-Heroin logic of embracing the long ball because that's the direction that the league is moving in, and I do believe that Derozan could stand to shoot more 3's, but I was also adamant that our struggles was due to us being short handed to start the season and also being not our usual selves defensively.

Don't misunderstand. I'm rooting for our team. But there is no chance in hell that shooting is sustainable.
