Gil, you're an idiot. You already lost this battle. You trying to the change the narrative to something no one ever stated when what you stated, you already took an L. Your autism really is astonishingly sad
What do you believe "the narrative" was? Apart from you embarrassing yourself trying to get one over me and failing miserably. As per usual.

You said the game left Pop behind and that you was smarter. Both were massive lies. You created this thread when SAS was in 12th place in the west. He made the playoffs as a #7 seed. Hold your L

No one had SA going to the Finals. No one. The premise of this thread was that SA would not make the playoffs and they did. You already took your L

You said the game left Pop behind
And I was right. I can even quote what I specifically said:

"Pop is suffering a similar demise to Phil Jackson, cause he too didn't embrace the 3-point shot, and ended up being left behind."

Pop didn't embrace the 3-pt shot like the rest of the league did and got left behind. Now he's actually admitted that DeRozan and LMA will shoot more 3s next season, and the offense will center more around the 3-pt shot. Care to explain to me how I wasn't right on the money?

:lolbron:
that you was smarter.
Not only does this have no bearing on what "the narrative" was, but can you please quote a post of mine where I stated or insinuated that I was "smarter"?

:picard:

Now who the hell is changing the narrative? I NEVER said the Spurs would or wouldn't make the playoffs. Why the fukk you out here lying? How the fukk are you talking about the premise of the thread yet not reading the OP (which is about the 3-pt shooting), but instead morphing it into some shyt about making the playoffs? I'm genuinely curious how you came to that conclusion?

The fact that you think in the frame of SA making the playoffs means that Pop isn't "left behind" only leads me to believe I gave you too much credit for thinking you had some understanding of the game. How much of a rock brain do you have to be to think that a team making the playoffs equates to coaching ability/relevancy? The Spurs underachieved this season, and whatever success you think they had was due to their talent and not their coaching.

Look at this bytch nikka right here accusing me of something he's guilty of. You're the one who's changing the narrative to something I never stated. You unknowingly just showed all your cards with this move.

:picard:

OP/premise of the thread, reads as follows:

"Pop is suffering a similar demise to Phil Jackson, cause he too didn't embrace the 3-point shot, and ended up being left behind.
Once seen as the golden franchise for modern basketball, the Spurs are suddenly stuck in the 1990s. On the season, 47.7 percent of San Antonio’s shots come from the mid-range, a figure that is seven percent higher than second place. To put it into context, the difference the Spurs in first and the Warriors in second is the same difference between the Warriors in second and the Knicks in 10th.

The Lakers attempt mid-range shots just 26 percent of the time. To add even more context, the Spurs take nearly as many long twos (24.5 percent) as the Lakers take mid-range shots period.

While the Lakers could certainly shoot more three-pointers, they attack the rim at such a high rate and avoid mid-range shots at such a rate that they still have a modern, efficient offense. The Spurs, meanwhile, are 21st in the league in effective field goal percentage.

Spurs starters - 22nd in points per game, 30th in 3-pt attempts, 1st in mid-range & long two attempts."

Interesting to see all the posts and cosigning of Pop falling off, in wake of Team USA's disastrous WC campaign, yet none of those people were in here arguing that during the season.

Why don’t you tell us more since you know more than Pop :mjlol:
You mean like Pop admitted that the Spurs will take more 3s next/this season?

Ettore Messina (Spurs assistant coach) said the Spurs will look to 'revamp' the offense in the direction of a more 3-pt approach for next season (cited spacing as a main issue).

@Gil Scott-Heroin wins FOREVER. The thread that keeps on giving. The whole cotdamn board took Ls in here.

:lolbron:
Like I said - you need to stop talking about sports. It ain't for you.

I wonder if the Spurs will end up finally adjusting to the rest of the league this season (if they follow through with their end-of-season review of looking to take more 3s). I wonder if TheColi will, again, take my argument out of context, and think that them simply winning games somehow exposes my argument.

:unimpressed:

@Remote what's your outlook for them this season?
