Maybe its just me but i dont download albums if i plan to buy them. I dont listen to leaked songs either.

I find the complaints people have of albums funny, talking about they played out songs already and now have to skip them or half the songs are old. I just wait, buy the album, listen to it front to back no skipping and absorb what the artist did. Its the best way to listen to music.

The only people ruining music are the fans. If you treat music as disposable then thats what its going to be to you. Music is better then ever but people just dont appreciate shyt anymore.

I love going to the record store, i love the artists that put effort into the physical product. shyt i still buying random albums just for fun that ive never heard of.

I disagree that music is better than ever now, but otherwise this is a great post.

Trust me when i say this that it was an overated expierence. I dunno what the hell everyone in this thread is bragging about.

As a kid you had to spend your hard earned money and take a gamble on an album not only with your money but also your time to discover a cd's overall wackness.

And then we had to swap out our cd's in our 3 disc or 6 disc cd changer boombox and deal with that bullshyt.

The invention of the mp3 and music going digital was the greatest thing to happen in my life ever being that i have extremely high standards when it comes to listening to hip hop.

One min I want to hear Game - Jesus piece. Now I want to hear Wiz and juicy j - in the plan. Now I want to hear TI's new album.
Ahhhh how about some classic nas next.:ahh:

You couldnt do all that before!!!

valid point. guess i wish i could know what albums were going to be dope as fukk and could get that shyt release day with hearing maybe a single or two before the album. but who am i kidding, that'd be impossible :pachaha:

The anticipation on the way home looking at the back and imagining how it sounds:wow:

Things will never be the same:to:

Then once I got home first thing I did was take out the liner notes and stick my nose in it:gladbron:

That smell:ahh:

Going to the record store to buy tapes and CDs are some of my favorite memories. I still remember walking to nobody beats the wiz to cop illmatic the day it came out on cassette. It's crazy cause back then I had the wiz, Sam goody, tower records, circuit city and 2 mom and pop record shops all in walking distance and now I only have target which gets only major label releases

Only bought 3-4 in the last few years.

But if I'm going to spend my money, it's not going to be on iTunes when I can download the same thing for free. :smugdraper:
