Your form probably sucks. There are different variations to squat to focus on different muscle groups.
You need to have your weight shifted in your heels like you are sitting down in a low chair. Not in your toes.
You should use weights. You should be going to failure in 8-12 reps, if you can do more get heavier weights.
Do squat jumps or wall sits.
You try hip thrusts?
