Ant also needs some deep playoff runs and I love Ant so I hope he gets there. See, both Iverson and Marbury were hugely popular. When he and Tatum do the same thing basically on the court but Tatum is soo much better across the board, including big time playoffs moments and a champion..

I can see that more so on the jumpshot.
I don't think the gap is like comparing Bron game- mechanics to PG or Tatum.
But even with the extra lil smoothness Tatum is clearly the better player which you think should also factor in when they are basically the same type of player.

I guess it’s Knicks and Boston having big fanbases, but still relevant.

But I was semi-trolling.

If we adjust for team following Ja, Ant and SGA probably have the most fans after Lebron and Curry.

Pre PG had the prettiest game since Kobe as a perimeter player. Like @CHICAGO said, he had that TMac ability to make it look like he was barely trying while looking smooth.

Like I said in my response to Chicago, I can agree that PG game is a little smoother.

We’re not talking about better player tho. Tatum is a better player than LaMelo, kids still rock with Lamelo more and find his game more entertaining. Like I said before, Tatum is today’s Duncan. Nothing wrong with that.

I agree that he’ll probably never be the face of the league but I think he has a larger fanbase than he’s given credit for

IMO the only thing stopping Tatum from being the face of the league is his personality. To the average fan, he is too quiet and introverted. If he had a more braggadocios personality, he'd be the face of the league.
