They're way too conservative with giving prospects a chance to play, but it won't be that long. If they send him back to AAA he'll probably up by May when they gain that extra year of control.
The Yankees are very conservative.
On the other hand, most of their prospects wind up not being shyt. So how mad can you get?

There’s a lot more Jesus Monteros for the Yankees than Robinson Canos.

Unless there are major injuries they want him to prove it over a longer sample in the minors. Considering he struggled for half the season last year.
Nah man. Can't do that. One of Cashman's many problems is that he lets young talent linger in the minors. He's outdated and archaic in how he operates the Farm System. That's how we gets stuck with the IKF's of the world

He should be there opening day. He and Peraza are best SS on the team
