Have you considered surrounding neighborhoods like North Miami, Miami Shores, North Miami Beach, Aventura, Miami Lakes, Miami Gardens (I used to live there)? A nice one bedroom apartment in a Miami usually start's at $800.

I lived in LA last summer. I had a job offer to go back. Even at $100k shyt was too expensive considering my other options. Ultimately, I chose ATL.

I'm gonna miss the weather tho.

More than likely out of state . If I came back to SFL I would probably do Broward - Fort Lauderdale/sunride/plantation.

Miami is at least top 3 least affordable cities to live in regards to CoL and median income. Nominally is low in cost outside of Atlanta. Just no one wants to pay.
