The only Spanish I know is from the Culo Gigante series. I really want to become fluent in it in the next 6-10 months.

What’s the best method? A Rosetta Stone dvd? Taking classes? Learning through friends?

Thanks in advance.

That would be a passion killer in the bedroom though.

Start by learning basic grammar.

Then all conjugations. By heart. We got espagnolfacile here for both conjugations and grammar but you must have thousands of site for english users.

Make heavy use of quizlet for vocabulary. Create your own pages on every subject, politics, house, furniture, food, animals, environment, etc... And test yourself daily.

Watch movies and news in spanish with spanish subtitles. Try to talk to yourself in spanish.

You'll learn in no time. Buena suerte

OP listen to this guy...everyone else in here can eat a bag of dikks. If you don’t understand Spanish grammar and the conjugations you will be dead in the water. You need to know how to break down an infinitive...here’s an example in English.

“To Have”

I have
You have
They have
We have

In Spanish this would be:

Tener

Yo tengo
Tu tienes
Ustedes tienen
Nosotros tenemos

This example is only for the present tense...then you have to learn how to do this for past tense, future tense, command, and etc. If you only know English you probably don’t really understand how the language works...you just know how to speak and comprehend it due to immersion. When you learn a second language you actually learn how language works and you will understand terms like infinitives, conjugations, tenses, and more.

@ThrobbingHood edit: Here’s an example of the importance of grammar. In English, if we are inquiring about someone’s age we will ask:

How old are you?

You cannot simply translate that statement into Spanish as it wouldn’t make sense to a native Spanish speaker who doesn’t know English.

In Spanish you ask “how many years do you have?” which is cuantos años tienes?

The only way u can really get fluent is by going to Spanish speaking countries. I took it all thru g
High school and college. Understanding what words mean, the pronouns, writing it and reading it r one thing. But speaking it in a real convo is a totally different animal.

People in California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, New York, Florida, New Jersey, and etc are already in a Spanish speaking country.

fax. You wont ever get it until you are immersed in it.
