Desmond Mason- This was the first time I learned that just because you have freakish athletic ability it dont mean shyt if your BBall IQ is low also see Gerald Green.Stromile Swift,Terrance Williams etc....

Troy Williamson =Drafted by the Vikings after the Moss trade:to: I knew he would be nothing close to Randy but he had unbelievable speed too bad this nygga couldnt catch to save his life:smh:

Chris Cook= Drafted by the Vikings in the 1st round couldnt stay healthy any season had zero impact and got arrested for beating his wife.Just a piece of shyt.

I thought Emeka Okafor should have been drafted number 1 over Dwight Howard:why: we just going to ignore that one.....

James Anderson= I thought this dude would be the Spurs athletic 2 guard we never had this dude hardly ever saw the court he is doing aight in Philly now I guess :yeshrug:

how did idiots think MCW was gonna be bad? he's a 6'6 point guard with unbelievable passing and rebounding...i def. compared him to rondo, but he's already a better scorer :wow:
This. I thought mcw should of went number 1 in last years weak ass draft. I knew he was going to be a good player.

Player that surprised me was dirk Nowitkzi. During the draft after we traded tractor traylor for some euro I thought we fukked up. Who thought we would have a top 20 player of all time

-:manny: I thought Okafor was going to be a better player than Howard and was going to be a franchise center for a decade. :why: But, he proceeded to find a way to decline ever since his rookie season.
-:beli: I thought Charlie V was going to be a 20+ scorer for years to come.
-:snoop: Jerryd Bayless, at worst I thought he was going to be a poor-man's AI.

:dwillhuh:

Breh, literally co-sign all 3 of these, down to the letter.

Man, I thought Charlie V was gonna dominate the league.

I don't follow college ball close enough to set any expectations. It's rare for a player to not only adapt but excel in the transition from college to pro. Anthony Davis was good in college and the writing was on the wall. For him to be a major contributor partly had to do with his personal motivation to excel but also the team that he got drafted by. I'm sure there are other teams where he may not have clicked as well as he has now. I think people tend to judge a book by its cover... and lets be real... we all know his unibrow and teeth aren't attractive. He's not a pretty boy like Kobe Bryant. So, some people judge him by his appearance.
Same thing in ice hockey. Joe Thornton was a big time up-and-comer, like he was going to be the next superstar. He kind of fizzled out with the Bruins, and part of it is expectations were set too high. But he has become a major producer on the Sharks. Sidney Crosby on the other hand hit the ground running, but he has been hampered lately with injuries.

Uncertain grounds
  • MarShon Brooks- Hasnt really gotten the PT to prove himself but he hasnt done all that much. If I was a scrub team with a whole at the 2, Id sign him for the cheap and see what he could do.
  • Gerald Green- Thought he would be an absolute beast. Didn't think it would take this long for him to "figure things out". He's still not what Id thought he'd be though (outside of his dunk contest performances)
  • Michael Beasley- Thought he was a 23/8 guy easy. Fawlse.
  • Bismack Biyombo- He's not even decent yet.
  • Kemba Walker- Didn't think his game would translate all that well.
  • In 2nd Grade, on my dad's typewriter for a HWK assignment, I typed that the Sonics should draft Steve Nash out of Santa Clara to backup and learn from Gary Payton.

Hometown of Cherokee at Law
Yi fukking Jianlian (though he was the next Dirk :dead: )

Tyreke Evans (expected him to be on the cusp of superstardom if not there by now)

Anthony Davis (thought 20 & 10 was his ceiling :wow: )

I'll say James Harden when he earns the 15 FT's he gets every other game :stopitslime:
