Used to work at EB Games a long time ago, before Gamestopo bought them.

As a consumer you can never find a true deal at stores like these because anything under a certain profit margin we simply throw away instead of selling.
For example, if customer A brings us a game that we give him a quarter for, its not like we sell that game for 50 cents so the next person can play it. We put it in a box and its considered de-inventorized which means either we throw it away or mail it to corporate so they can throw it away. We only bought it for a quarter in the first place because removing older games from the market is pivotal in being able to charge an arm and a leg for new games.

And the games you are told are 'new' are not new unless they are in factory sealed boxes.
If you are given a game that needs to be put in its case, it insnt new. We used to play those games at closing, or take them home and bring them back the next day. Especially the DVDs once we started taking in movies.

There is a shytload of inventory at all times that technically we have in stock that is priced at $0.01 (a penny) that we don't stock and is just sitting in the back in a box waiting to be thrown away. I spent a dime one day and left with a madcats racing wheel (the big one with the foot pedals and shifter) an e-card reader... all types of stuff.

Those stores don't care about you. Anyone that works there that does is quickly out of a job.

A while back an employee at gamestop tried to sell me an open game as "new". I was like :whoa: what are you doing? Are you going to charge me full price for that? And he comes back with, "Yes, it's a NEW game. It hasn't been played. We use the boxes for display sometimes". :flabbynsick:

:childplease:"What the heck is the difference between that and a used game then!?"

Manager comes over and gives me the game at the pre-owned price. :youngsabo:

Oh I remember telling them that several times. I told them too bad, I'm not paying a new price for something that's been opened.

Buying something new implies that you go through the process of opening the fukking thing yourself.

I don't mind buying games from Gamestop, but trading in shyt over there is ridiculous. Trade in $500 dollars worth of stuff, and only get like $100 dollars back.:mjlol:

GameStop is not that bad they are trained to push shyt in customers just like a lot of business that train to sell u credit cards and all that

And nothing wrong with keeping a bytch on deck is rather deal with females then males

I don't fukk with gamestop either most of the time. The last time I did I actually came out ahead. I bought a deluxe Wii u with mario and donkey kong for $200 off craigslist. I couldn't really fukk with the Wii u so I trade it in to gamestop after 6 months of owning it to see what they'd give me and they gave $230 so I came up and I ended up buying a bunch of ps4 games

Ah yes gamestop. The last time I went in one was when GTA 4 first hit the streets.

I went in there and was about to buy a new copy for $60 considering the used copies where $55.

The stars in the universe aligned themselves or something an a guy came in wanting to trade in his copy of GTA 4

I can't remember if they offered him $25 or $29 but it was $20 something, and I was just like ,"aye bruh, I'll give you $40 right now for it".

The employee was like ,":skip::beli: You cant do that"

Me::childplease::heh: Watch me

Did the whole transaction at the counter.
