I Will Say That Even Though My Life Is Okay I STILL Wish I Had A Mentor (It Would Be Easier)

I understand where you are coming from but having a mentor isn't necessarily going to fill that void where you feel "empty" because you aren't making the moves you want and seeing the success you wanna see.

Work on finding what you are passionate about. Write down a list of things you want to accomplish in a day, week, month, year,5 years etc.

And do the appropriate steps to accomplish on your list. Even if it's small, it will make you feel good that you accomplished what you set to accomplish even if it's day to day.

It could be as simple as working out, getting better with women etc. I'd also say cut down or stop watching porn and masturbating altogether. It drains your energy, especially your creative energy and drive.. especially if you do it a lot.

look up a podcast called "Work On Your Game" by Dre Baldwin. You can listen to his podcast off your phone, on itunes, stitcher, etc.

@JudgeJoeGorilla you tend to reject most of the advice you solicit on here. A mentor has to want to work with you, too, so make sure you're open to criticism. If you ignore much of what he says you'll be considered a lost cause

Also you been saying you want to return to school for about 3 years. Just go or stop talking about it. It's not getting any cheaper

No, I've been saying I wanted to go back for the past year. I'm trying to get a grant. Also, I just have 55 credits to complete because I did some of the classes already required for the Human Services major (CC).

P.S. I love constructive criticism.

55 credits is no joke man. That's a big investment of your time

My point is that you should stop talking about plans and either execute or prepare to execute. Real studies been done that indicate that plans discussed are more likely to go to waste than plans built in silence

There's not many people looking to mentor those not on upward trajectories. This isn't Pretty Woman

I wish I had a mentor. Why? (no troll)

No post worrying about it now. If you still need one do the following:
Get a linked in account and populate your details there.
Find out all the corporate business within a specific mile radius.
Contact all and ask just to shadow them if you're not working.

A lot will turn you down. See this as an interview process where you ask them intelligent questions. Make sure you read up on their industry before meeting any.

A lot of mentors are always looking for ways to give back. Don't ask for a job( they get that all the time) Focus on the learning bit first.
