I’m actually a scientist and the answer is yes.

Do you have any examples?

Edit: Herpes, gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, syphilis, COVID-19, trich, Influenza A/B, varicella, tuberculosis, WNV, malaria, etc. do not improve someone - and some of those can/will kill you.

what would be the transition of you becoming a genetic counselor if you were to pursue that?

What are you holding currently, a Masters, Bachelors, PHD?

A good place to start the discussion is why do you know the names of the viruses, bacteria and diseases you listed?

The simple answer is because they cause harm. Otherwise there is no reason for you to care about the billions of microbes which call your body home and benefit you in countless ways.

Just a small example are the microbes that have colonized your gastrointestinal system and without which you couldn’t digest properly, couldn’t build your immune system or that prevent other dangerous non beneficial microbes from invading and causing disease.

The question wad abouy diseases. A disease by definition is harmful whether it be borne of bacterium, a virsus or other.

Making this thread to increase awareness about infectious diseases and to post about the fukkery I see at my job. :picard:

It goes without saying that I cannot use names; any names posted have been changed to protect the innocent (and infectious :troll:).

I will try to post as much information and as many stories as I can without tryna lose my job. :sadcam: :snoop:
how worried are you about covid?

Exactly, the question was nonsensical. So obviously the asker didnt understand that point and had to have been thinking of infectious agents that are beneficial.

Not a transition but a whole 'nother career.

I never started my Master's so I'm not a 6 cert nikka. :sadcam:

Not OP but that’s a completely unrelated field that requires specialized credentials.
