Who the fukk can? This is like saying Dennis Rodman wasn't a good defender because he couldn't stop Jordan one-on-one. None of the best offensive players can be shut down by one guy consistently.

tayshaun prince was never as good on defense as lebron has been the past 4 years, tayshaun just had a great defensive team around him

And to add to this, good team defense starts with good indivdual defense. Pistons were great on D because Billups, Hamilton, Prince, and the Wallaces were good individually. That's what makes the Celtics so good. Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Garnett are all good individual defenders first. Lebron has all the tools to be a great one-on-one defender, I think he just doesn't focus on it at times.

Dude is not a good on the ball defender,he tries to block EVERYTHING and bites on pump fakes trying to block every shot

He gets a few weakside blocks per game off his size and length alone but he is not a smart defender

Tayshaun Prince is one of the most underrated defenders of the past decade, he's a big reason Detroit shut down the Lakers that finals. Dude has been a defensive stalwart most of his career.

As for Serge Ibaka, despite him being a so-so man and help defender, he is an elite blocker, and no not just from the weakside (which is still a key skill), he is somewhat wrong about Lebron though, dude has a great defensive skillset, it's just not his role on the team.

Been tellin' y'all fools comparing Kobe to Bron that Bron's D is nothing compared to Kobe's. Anybody can shut down somebody 6 inches shorter than them. Now, to say Bron is a BAD defender is a fallacy, but to say he is a GREAT defender like a Kobe, Artest, Tayshaun, etc is a fallacy. It's one thing to say Bron can't guard Durant, nobody can guard Durant, but it doesn't seem Bron can even slow him down. But I'm waiting to see more of the series before I pass judgment.

The Heat have good individual defenders. I never said Lebron is a bad defender. Wade, Chalmers, Batter, Haslem, are all good individual defenders. I am talking about people specifically talking about Bron as a GREAT defender. He has not achieve that upper echelon individual defensive ranking in my eyes. If he guards Durant for 30+ minutes and has him shooting under 35%, then yeah, my opinion will change, but as of right now, he is an great weakside/help defender and that's where it ends in my book.
