One of the funniest things that has occurred in the last couple of months is watching these c00n Trump supporters play these schematic games. If a policy that is worded for people of color benefits 75% of African Americans than guess what it's a black policy. The fact that it needs to say black people to some in order for them to feel like it's a black plan is some 6th grader shyt. It's a part of this both sidesism bullshyt. You know damn well they can't come out with a "black" only plan because they're trying to get votes from all sorts of people so you create this ask that you know they'll never satisfy and than try to get on some both sides are the same shyt.

It's like the reparations issue. White America will never give out reparations so you put it out there as some demand knowing that it will never be satisfied just so you can have an excuse to sit on your hands and knees and do nothing.

The bold is a bit complicated. When policies are worded like that, the people who benefit the most from it are often not Black people. Case and point affirmative action. It started as a way to level the planning field for Black people, but white women ended up being it's biggest beneficiaries. It's far removed from it's original intentions.

The key is writing specific tailored policies, not generic ones. While you can't outright say "This is only for Black people" you can definitely target the community in a more specific manner than is what currently done. For example a bill that gives financial restitution to those who were on the receiving end of Jim Crow and Redlining wouldn't be based on race, but a specific damage done to a specific group of people. This is the route Elizabeth Warren was heading in the primaries, but never fully cut through with messaging it properly.

student loan forgiveness for people making under 125k:

average black household - 41k
Hispanic - 51k
White - 70k
Asian - 87k

black people are broke. You can take away our student loan debt and we’re still broke. Other groups can use savings from loan forgiveness for investment while we’re using it on basic necessities. This is making the wealth gap worse.

doubling ppp funding: black folks only got 3 percent of the ppp loans. Doubling the funding doesn’t do shyt for us, it just means that other races are gonna open up more businesses and make more money. Unless you guarantee that a certain percentage of loans are gonna go to black folks, this isnt doing shyt

15k first time homebuyer credit - the white family with 70k income, money from parents and pending inheritances can use this 15k on whatever they want, they don’t necessarily need it. They can throw it in stocks, they can buy life insurance for future generations, they can use it for an investment property. Large percentage of Black folks are using that money for closing costs, furniture, appliances and outstanding debt. This program helps us, but it helps others more if we’re talking about wealth generation.

financial incentives for ANYONE opening businesses in black communities: who owns the businesses in black communities right now? You’re giving financial incentives for Asians, middle easterners and Indians to open up more businesses in our neighborhoods (mind you these people vote republican )


build on efforts to support expansion of opportunities for minority owned businesses: this is for everyone other than white men. Blacks are the most ill equipped to capitalize


Increase funding for minority business development agency: again, this includes white women and every group outside of white males.


Protect small and disadvantaged businesses from federal and state contract bundling: this one even helps white men


Reserve half of new ppp funds for small businesses with 50 employees are less: only 3 percent of these businesses are owned by blacks you’re reserving billions of new dollars for white women, Asians, Indians and middle easterners
