It probably kills him that Cube has had so much success making comedy movies too. He needs to let it go and just enjoy his success as a headlining comedian. He probably makes a couple of mil a year.

He is funny, but what's even worse about him now is he wants that Patrice/Holcomb respect but doesn't have a fanbase large enough or the respect to get it.

A lot of people from Chicago back in the 90s were East Coast/NYC Hip-Hop fans. A lot of them didn't like West Coast rappers/music, it seems.
Common didn't like Ice Cube either back then due to artistic reasons. Hell, Common felt more like an East Coast/NYC artist up until he released Be, I'm pretty sure there are others too.
