Is still think they can do another Friday. They keep continuing all the white stoner franchises.

My idea for a Friday movie is Craig and Day-Day open a dispensery in Craig's old neighborhood. They use Smokey's image as a mascot like Ronald McDonald and a reformed Smokey sues them for using his likeness. At the end they all come together, the end.

Both of those scripts sound like ass tbh

I think both had real potential. Especially back when everyone was alive.

I honestly think Chris Tucker doesn’t want to go back to the franchise because some people simply outgrow those types of characters and know the “magic” of it was the time period and who they were THEN. It would be akin to expecting Will Smith to go back to playing The Fresh Prince or Kadeem Hardison to go back to playing Dwayne Wayne. Chris Tucker is FIFTY ONE years old. Besides his age he’s accomplished the kind of stardom that is VERY rare for a black actor/comedian. At one point he could legit command TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS to star in a movie. Only maybe three black actors have ever reached that level of fame. You can’t be THAT age and attain THAT success and look back and think playing a deadbeat weed head is an enticing offer.

Cube should have BEEN given up on trying to get Tucker back into the fold and focused on the chemistry between him and Mike Epps and gotten a new generation of black comedians to come aboard to keep the franchise fresh. But now without Pops and Deebo I don’t even know if its worth fighting Warner Bros for. Cube is a talented individual and has thrived in Hollywood LONG past many others expiration date. I’m sure he’s got other projects he can pitch

Kevin Smith is still making Jay & Silent Bob movies. Clerks 3 is coming out this year and Mallrats 2 is coming out after.

Bill and Ted started in 1989. They came out with a third movie two years ago.

Creech and Chong started in the 70s and were still cameoing as their movie characters until the 2000s and came out with an animated movie in 2013.

Why should Cube be told that him and the other actors are too old when black doesn't crack and the white stoner movies continue their legacy with no push back. I understand moving on from where you started but two of the biggest actors, Ben Affleck and Keanu Reeves, got no flack for doing the same thing.

Ben Affleck got oscars and still playing Batman for Christmas sakes. He was in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot in 2019 and is signed on to return for Mall Rats 3. Keanu Reeves is arguably one of the biggest action stars ever after being Neo in the Matrix and John Wick. He still went back and did a sequel for a silly movie he did when he was a kid with a costar that people have forgotten about.

I'm saying all this to say that we shouldn't be telling ourselves we're too old or came too far to go back to what people got to know us from. If those guys can continue, why shouldn't we?

Man who cares anymore?

It's been 20 years. John Witherspoon has passed away. Tiny Lister has passed away. Chris Tucker obviously doesn't want to do it.

I said years ago a reboot with O'Shea Jr. and DC Young Fly would have been a better option, but they're both in their 30s now.

Just let it go.

A reboot with DC Young Fly and Jr would be I Got The Hookup 2 Status

That shyt ain't happening Cube.

If it does it's gonna be some really bad direct-to-streaming movie that resembles nothing close to the first 3 Friday movies.

I'm cool with Friday After Next being the final Friday movie we ever gotten, I just wished that the fourth Friday came out shortly after the Christmas Friday while Cube and Mike Epps were still young and in their acting primes.

I actually prefer rewatching the Fridays sequels more than the OG.
First time I’ve ever heard that tbh.

I have no desire to see a new Friday now. If they were gonna make one it shoulda been at least 15 years ago.

A reboot with his son and dc could have been good a few years ago too.

Least we still have the first 3 classics.

Another reason why I want to see another Friday movie is because of the franchise's ability to break new black comedians into movie and television. Theres not many avenues currently right now. There's Wildin' Out and that's about it so they've been getting it on their own on social media.

Every Friday movie has had a black comedian crossover into the mainstream after being in their film. Chris Tucker blew up after the film and as other have said had great success. Mike Epps got a chance after Tucker wouldn't return and he's been all over the place since. Even Michael Blackson got some too after playing the African at the CD Store. Katt Williams as Money Mike was funny as fukk and blew him up until he crashed out on his own. Terry Crews:snoop:was in Training Day as a brolic extra but it wasn't until Friday After Next that we say him . After that he's been selling deodorant, in comedy movies/shows, and in action movies.

Maybe they've been offered to be in movies or tv, probably not, but I'm trying to see new black comedians cross over into Hollywood. We've been watching them on IG, YouTube, or TikTok but whose going to continue our legacy when the older comedians stop making movies or film. If they do another Friday I'm sure they'd give an opportunity to guys like Mark Phillips(RDCworld), Bigg Jahh, Lou Ratchett, Tra Rags, or whoever you might watch.

I'm sorry I keep going on tangents but me seeing people on here saying nah on another Friday movie rubs me the wrong way. I enjoy seeing comedies that cater to my sense of humor. I bet The Hangover, never found that shyt funny, will make another movie in the next ten years and there won't be a fraction of people saying the bs they do about another Friday movie.

300 murders a year
At this point it's time to let it go

What would I like to see?

All about the Benjamin's 2

Or a movie that centers around his big 3 league

But the 1st Friday was lightning in a bottle. The next 2 were honestly made for bet+ movies bumped into a theater due to the success of the 1st Friday. He does another one it will be a bunch of jokes hinting at the 1st Friday and some poot smoke and fart jokes that just doesn't work like that anymore in this day and age. Just pack it up
