Another reason why I want to see another Friday movie is because of the franchise's ability to break new black comedians into movie and television. Theres not many avenues currently right now. There's Wildin' Out and that's about it so they've been getting it on their own on social media.

Every Friday movie has had a black comedian crossover into the mainstream after being in their film. Chris Tucker blew up after the film and as other have said had great success. Mike Epps got a chance after Tucker wouldn't return and he's been all over the place since. Even Michael Blackson got some too after playing the African at the CD Store. Katt Williams as Money Mike was funny as fukk and blew him up until he crashed out on his own. Terry Crews:snoop:was in Training Day as a brolic extra but it wasn't until Friday After Next that we say him . After that he's been selling deodorant, in comedy movies/shows, and in action movies.

Maybe they've been offered to be in movies or tv, probably not, but I'm trying to see new black comedians cross over into Hollywood. We've been watching them on IG, YouTube, or TikTok but whose going to continue our legacy when the older comedians stop making movies or film. If they do another Friday I'm sure they'd give an opportunity to guys like Mark Phillips(RDCworld), Bigg Jahh, Lou Ratchett, Tra Rags, or whoever you might watch.

I'm sorry I keep going on tangents but me seeing people on here saying nah on another Friday movie rubs me the wrong way. I enjoy seeing comedies that cater to my sense of humor. I bet The Hangover, never found that shyt funny, will make another movie in the next ten years and there won't be a fraction of people saying the bs they do about another Friday movie.
These same posters saying this will be the same ones crying bout how black people don’t stick together and have a crab in the barrel mentality. Only black people do shyt like this. Telling a black man to give up on something he really wants even when he has a history of success with it. :unimpressed:

shyt is :hhh:

Beavis and Butthead really just made a comeback but there’s no way Friday can :unimpressed:

Will Smith
Denzel Washington
Eddie Murphy
Chris Tucker

Sam Jackson has never been paid $20 Million to star in a movie. He makes upwards of 10 million.

Martin Lawrence came close. He made $16 Million for Black Knight.
Martin made $20 mill for Blue Streak and National Security (each)

Man who cares anymore?

It's been 20 years. John Witherspoon has passed away. Tiny Lister has passed away. Chris Tucker obviously doesn't want to do it.

I said years ago a reboot with O'Shea Jr. and DC Young Fly would have been a better option, but they're both in their 30s now.

Just let it go.

This post made me think damn even the white boy from the 2nd flick died
Alot of cast members aint even around

a final Friday could work. hear me out...

open it with Pop's funeral. craig does a voiceover talking about how Deebo and even Ezal passed. the neighborhood isnt the same, all these new kids coming up. good chance to throw in new characters. make Smokey a born-again Christian. Day Day should still be Day Day but with a better job, yet still immature and hilarious. maybe after F.A.N. craig came back home when Willie was sick, and reconnected with Dana. they could have a kid by now, too. Elroy could be back in the neighborhood too. of course, you'd have a lot of gentrified shyt in there but it could be used for comic effect too.

the thing is, this could be written well... i just dont know if Cube should be the one to do it. even on the first movie he fukked over DJ Pooh, remember...

:yeshrug:

what can i say, i like to dream

One is a TV show, which is cheaper to produce while the other one is a movie. There's a difference between the two. There's also the issue that a lot of those actors aren't going to be too keen on playing the same character that they did years ago. Not to mention the fact that they'll be more expensive this time around.

Those Friday films are still making bread in streaming and cable syndication, so I get why there isn't a rush to make a new one.

Cube’s track record after the Friday movies has not been great. I don’t have any confidence that he could make a new one and make it good. Hopefully he can get his hands on the old ones though.

Should make a movie called Monday in which he plays an alternate, older, straight laced version of Craig that never took the day off, never got fired and never had those adventures with Smokey. Life took a whole nother direction...

After another boring day at the office in *REDACTED* he decides to "How do you do, fellow kids?" and buy some reefer from the mandem. They lace his bud with a little something something and he starts tripping into an *REDACTED* with flashbacks of the life he didn't live as the scenes flip between this:

giphy.gif

and the older version. Basically a clip show redo of the first movie over a new timeline with some sprinkles I'll keep to myself at the moment in case some talentless hack jacks this they'll only get the outline for free...

Just imagined the entire script and if we can get a Tucker cameo as the *REDACTED* after he gets recorded tripping and goes viral then gets sacked for breaking into work and stealing boxes that he thought contained *REDACTED* it would make the cypher complete as well as something that would have the audience falling out of their seat when they see it.

They don’t need Chris Tucker :yeshrug:Mike Epps was way funnier in the Fridays than him.they could fill it with hood black comedy royalty like Rickey smiley coming back, George Wallace in a pops type roll etc. It could work. Hell they could even throw Issa rae in that bytch that strangely could be funny.

The first Friday is a classic. obviously

but the second two are...... very underwhelming, especially the last one. That shyt was like a parody of a Friday movie. And I've only seen bits and pieces of that one, but enough to know that shyt looked stupid.

but the time for another Friday has long been been over.

they can't do it without John Witherspoon, Tiny Lister, and Chris Tucker seems to never had an interest in returning at all.

Cube wasting his time trying to do another Friday, why not just write and direct a whole new franchise.
