Above the fray.
Cause its true. Blacks made 60% of what whites made in the 60's and we still make 60% of what whites make now. Black unemployment was double whites back then and still is now. More black folks are actually locked up now than in the 60s. So what world are you living in? The status quo for America has always been black folks at the bottom of the economic ladder.

Today's racial wealth gap is wider than in the 1960s

I can google charts and stats, too.

And in the center of your last chart is a stat that helps to support my point about the Black middle class expanding since the 1960s.

The % of Black people with college degrees, from 9% to over 22%.

I thought that the home ownership rate rose in the same time period(but the stats you cited don't reflect it)

I believe that the % of Black business owners expanded within this span also.

This is progress from the 1960s, and it's a testament to the opportunities and resources fought for by the CRM and the elected officials who have been in office since then.

Bruh... look at that vid

Even if I agreed with you that someone should meet with Trump on our behalf...

That person obviously should NOT be Cube as he is ignorant as hell on politics. This interview with Roland proves that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

He is a talented rapper, producer and actor.

That does NOT translate into being talented in politics.
Definitely agree, did you read the last sentence..

reparations is a ghost policy. We can dream and pray about it until the cows come home. Thats why with only 24 hours in a day and a few breaths left in your body, you have to seriously figure out how you want to spend your time pursuing things to better black society.

Thats why serious people chase other policies that target the black community in ways that will actually get passed.

You can't even get most democrats in congress on board. AT that point you have to find another end run

And frankly let me be clear...I'm actually an elitist when it comes to this political shyt. People lionize the civil rights era but things had standards back then. Anyone and everyone couldn't be out here running their mouths and talking shyt without doing the work. Things are not TOO accessible. Its too easy for come-lately's like Cube to get in the mix and start working with the enemy without understanding WTF he's doing. Theres nothing wrong with reaching out to republicans to move the needle, but Cube is uneducated, uninformed, misinformed, and ill equipped to tackle the nuances of republicans who will easily spin him and unaware of what democrats are actually doing that overlaps with what most of what he's doing. Cube doesn't know shyt and I demand more of people who claim to represent my interests whose only claim to fame are rap albums. The dearth of black leadership outside of entertainment has fooled people into thinking these entertainers are quality substitutes for astute and expert tacticians.

Leave this amateur shyt alone and stop trying to lower the bar of what we should tolerate from our spokespeople.

This is no better than Cardi B talking with Joe Biden.

Ben Dixon keeping it a buck.

No wonder the Biden campaign ain't take him seriously... they aint wanna shyt on him and break his little ego. This is shameful.

How did he fukk us over?
this man is not qualified to speak on such a topic

not every black man's plan is a good plan. period.

cut the bullshyt.

have some standards man. God dammit.

Now we have to go through his personal political education because his rich ass and his business ties to Steve Bannon have just put us back just so he can carry water for a half assed policy and set of things he didn't even know the congress was already working on.

Black folks were at the bottom of the ladder in the 60s and still are now. With our college degrees we can now get hired at the same rate as whites with a high school diploma and a felony record. If you call that progress you are indeed a fool and have accepted your place as a second class citizen. There is nothing to be happy about reading those stats. The charts I posted are disgusting and highlight the failure of politicians over the past 50 years to address the needs of black citizens and close the wealth gap.

Cube never came off that sophisticated to me. Like he not trained to deal with type of maneuvering. Talented in many ways, this ain’t his lane.
its a slap in the face of people who are really doing this shyt for free and spend their lives on this.

this dude is 51 and I'm not in the mood to give out participation trophies.

I'm black. I wouldn't qualify for reparations and I support reparations. Fully.

But if you can't understand that its not gonna happen, then we have nothing left to discuss.

You can't even get even 50% of democrats to support it. Good luck passing any significant legislation on this.

Spend that energy passing policies that better and more quickly fill in those voids in black society.

Anyone addicted to spinning their wheels isn't a serious person.

This is political triage. You have to stop the bleeding first.
