This is like Emmit Smith vs Barry Sanders....

:patrice: I don't know... I don't think that's quite the right comparison......

This is like comparing micheal jackson to justin bieber

Cube

This is a better comparison (and I like Justin Bieber's last R&B album). Of course, you could substitute Chris Brown, Usher Raymond, R Kelly, Jodeci, Guy, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Babyface.. for Justin, and it would still be true. I think Slystallion's comparison is more appropriate for Big Pun and Biggie.

like i said cube is bettern than biggie when all is said and done but i dont think bigge was just gunplay. like someone said, he was a child of cube and scarface. that scarface element means that beyond the crazy dont give a fx attitude, some analysis and reflection was going on. a song like ready to die is more than just gun talk, it communicates desperation to me. things done changed is also social analysis to me brehs. shows how the cracked out kids of the civil rights generation had taken over the hood with the infusion of drugs in the community. etc. bigs metaphores were always viloence but behind it there was deeper shyt join on. ice cube though was just better at that kind of thing. ice cube was like malcolm over some beats.

Also have to take into account something like Everyday Struggle.

i refuse to conform
Cube was talking about things that stand right this very second. Horny lil Devil off Death Certificate damn near speaks to the Donald Sterling situation 20 something years later.

Gotta go with Cube, Big had him on flow but Cube starts edging him after that IMO

-P-

even with flow cube rapped on faster bpms then biggie and that's a fact.

Fresh out of school cause I was a high school grad
gots to get a job cuz I was a high school dad
Wish I got paid like I was rappin' to the nation
but thats not likely, so here's my application
Pass it to the man at AT&T
Cuz when I was in school I got the a. e. e.
But there's no s. e. for this youngsta
I didn't have no money so now I have to hunch the
Back like a slave, thats what be happenin
but whitey says there's no room for the African
Always knew that I would boycott, jeez

but welcome to McDonalds can I take your order please
Gotta sell ya food that might give you cancer
cuz my baby doesn't take no for an answer
Now I pay taxes that you never give me back
what about diapers, bottles, and similac
Do I gotta go sell me a whole lotta crack
for decent shelter and clothes on my back?
Or should I just wait for help from Bush
These lyrics are very inaccurate.
