Prodigy easily. Cube was a decent emcee but Prodigy was one of the top 5 emcee's in the golden age of hip hop when rappers had to know how to rap. Keep It Thoro is more fire than any Cube song I've ever heard. Lyrically Cube couldn't see Prodigy in his prime.
This is true flat out P was a better MC, better lyricist and one of the illest flows/voice/deliveries of All-Time. Cube don't got a verse like Apostle's Warning, Shook Ones, Survival of the Fittest, Hell On Earth in his catalog. P one of the most sampled/quoted rappers ever for a reason.

Prodigy and Mobb Deep's music sounds better today lets be honest Cube's shyt sounds a bit dated today. :manny:

Personal preference would be Prodigy off the strength of The Infamous, HOE, HNIC and Return Of The Mac. He's had a return to form recently too.

Cube is definitely a top 10 emcee though, majority of his solo albums are dope and his group work speaks for itself. Both have been involved with two of the greatest hip hop songs ever made in "Today Was A Good Day" and "Shook Ones 2".

Tough call.

I dont even know how this is a contest. unless u were born in the 90's, there's no way u can pick prodigy over cube. cube has too many classic albums/songs in comparison to prodigy.

cube had folks thinking dre and easy-e could actually spit back in the day. not only the piff on the NWA albums, but his first 3 or 4 solo joints were nothing but straight :fire:

The disrespect for P here is crazy. 95-99, he didn't drop a single wack verse and those three Mobb albums were all classic. Those three Mobb albums>Cube's run from Amerikkka's Nightmare to Predator. We're not even factoring in all the ill features he did, he fell of but not as hard as Cube. As a solo artist he dropped a great album in HNIC and Albert Einstein/Return of the Mac were solid projects in the 2000s.

Truth fam. Lyrically P is a level above him & that's no disrespect Cube. P was that nikka for a while. His verses on Still Shinin', Temperature's Rising, Drop a Gem on Em, Basics, & I Shot Ya.. :whew:
