Cardi B has been working with democrats openly for the past 2 years. First she was literally on the campaign trail with Bernie sanders then she endorsed Joe Biden and did a sit down discussion with him and numerous photo ops.

Cardi B’s work with the Dems isn’t policy-based. Its more so voter outreach and awareness to people who follow her on social media and aren’t politically engaged. Also, some of these celebs who are affiliated with the dems are left as in agree with a more socialized government.

If the Dems want to engage in policy work, why would they talk to celebrities about creating a new policy a month before the election when Black policy analysts, sociologist, and economist are willing to do long-term work after the election? I would love to see Sandy Darity’s research be incorporated into reparation policy. He has done the work and can really help our community beyond symbolic superficial means.
