But I think this shyt is ridiculous that its even a "controversy". I hate Trump a ton but there is nothing wrong with talking to the man. He didn't endorse him. What the hell is the issue?

The issue is Trump using Cube's influence to get him re-elected while Cube should know he can't believe a thing Trump tells him.

I'm not arguing how genuine someone is. I know Trump is a liar. But I do know this, he is also a person who loves to be loved and also at the moment is desperate for some black person to show at the very least a neutral attitude towards him. He has a negotiating weakness due to that and anyone who has something to push or something they want to get approved and can talk directly to the president, regardless of who it is, they would be a fool not to do it.

Again, you can disagree and hate the man but you will always fail when you decide not to do something at all vs attempting to try. I see nothing wrong with talking to him to see if you can at least attempt to get him on this issue. I disagree. Steve Harvey and Jim Brown thought that very thing and he used their ass for publicity and votes and gave us nothing after he was elected. His supporters in Texas love him yet....

Don't find it odd at all. Ice Cube is famous and it would look better politically for him. This is what Ice Cube is offering Trump in exchange for looking at his plan and listening to him. Of course, Trump is going to benefit some degree from this arrangement. He has to for it to get any attention at all because he only acts in his own self-interest. There is nothing wrong with this.

If he doesn't listen, then Ice Cube should immediately come out and calling him on his shyt and make as much stink about it to neuter the Trump campaign attempt to only get the political clout out of the deal. All eyes are on Cube right now. So, if he starts calling Trump a lying bytch, it will get traction and will neuter the attempt by Trump just to get the political image without giving anything in return.

This is actually easier for Ice Cube to do compared to those HBCU presidents for example who were used by Trump because of his bigger audience and current media attention. HBCU presidents don't have the same media and social reach as Cube and so when they got "betrayed" they didn't really have anywhere to go to air their grievances of being used by Trump. Cube does.

What came out of the public meeting with Kanye West? Look up articles from after that and I'm sure that West spoke of multiple things that he made suggestions to Trump about.

Which is what some of the critics have pointed out, namely existing bills promoting what he's calling for, and their current status in Congress, AND what is meat VS what is grease in Trump's Platinum Plan. People bring mechanic friends with them when buying a used car for similar reasons.

Cube doesn't have to call Trump a liar. People who have read both plans have called shenanigans on whether and how the platinum plan implements Cube's contract. Nobody affiliated with Trump is publicly refuting or correcting that. None of them have Cube's back, here.
