She speaks on young black men/boys who would rather rob, scam, sell drugs and kill for money and make hundreds/ a few thousand dollars a day than work a legal career because it's "slower" and "boring". The way she's saying it, it's pretty much "What can I tell them to possibly change their mindset"?
The reality of it is too many black men are caught up in this weird glorification of "being real" and take extremely great risks for short term rewards. It's truly backwards and embarrassing. The mentality is a good 50 years strong now and realistically isn't going anywhere anytime soon. What's almost as bad as that mentality is people like the one in the video. From the way she's talking it almost feels like she agrees with them and trying to make an excuse for them.
But they don’t have to struggle 70 years. If they focused on school and got a good trade or legit degree they’d be good by their late 20s.![]()

Because we never have the conversation on WHY these young boys feel this way
Young men feel hopeless and unseen by their families
Or they take on responsibility at a very young age and it’s not all voluntary
So they never were kids and parents take out all kinds of aggression on their children because they are stress or don’t know how to be parents them damn selves
Young man could have been really good at something and the family talks down on them for liking that activity or even take that activity away from them as punishment for a mistake
You goofy nikkas always talk about the aftermath and not the reasons for young men crashing out
Too scared to say these women out here being single mothers ain’t detrimental to young mens psychs
Women creating son husbands
Women having different nikkas in and out a young boys life because that woman is seeking the love and affection while ignoring the main thing that needs that
Or smothering their son and telling them everything is dangerous Everytime they go out the door
Many parents (especially parents of 80s babies) are just good with the old tired line
Well you not in jail are you
They think that was enough and a PlayStation achievement
No it’s a lot of men fukked up behind some shyt in their family life
The same young kids saying this shyt now
Young men of my generation was saying in the 90s
Black men have always been told we not making it to 21 because a number of factors
But thecoli doesn’t want to have real conversations on mens mental health or these young boys troubles with life
You nikkas rather dikk swing like you almighty intelligent 5%centers that saves the community after day and never made a mistake in life while regurgitating bullshyt from an article/book you read
Because you lack real world application on everything in life
Pretty much summed up the whole first page and how the rest of this thread will go
You sound dumb as hell blaming single mothersFacts. Rap and most of our Culture loves this wild back against wall triumph story. Hiphop perpetuates this wild living.
Another big issue in our community, single mothers put a lot of grown man burdens on their young sons. Teenagers shouldn't have to worry about lights being on. But we arent critique Black Queens.
When money is your idol, you make it the aim of life.
