Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I've noticed embiid does not know how to land properly when coming down from a big jump. It worries me.
I try not to focus on that :francis:

I don't think his leg strength is back yet, so he looks clumsy at times on landings. I'm sure they'll have someone work with him on that in the offseason, if NBA trainers can fix Myles Turners running gait they can get Joel to land better.

Love Embiid's play but let's not act like he's a true rookie. He's 22 years old, and had years of skill development, regardless of playing time, he could not get if he was still at Kansas.

By the time a player is 22-23 we have a strong idea of what his career is like. So his play is what should be expected of a taller Hakeem with a jump shot as he was billed at the draft.

Hakeem had a jumpshot

Embiid doesnt shoot or run the floor better than Towns
Towns is easily more offensively talented

I agree, which is why I said Towns does everything Embiid does but probably better. But I kind of figured out and why I feel like he's a better player than Towns.

Towns is a better ball handler, he has more offensive moves, he's faster, he's more fluid, his jumper is quick and looks better aesthetically, and he looks much more like a devastating offensive player. But he's not as efficient or methodical as Embiid when he plays, Embiid picks his spots better, and he's also a more willing passer. Then there's the fact that he plays defense with the best of them.

It reminds me of Melo and LeBron earlier on in their careers. A lot of people including myself gravitated toward Melo because he had a better offensive repertoire in those first few years, he just looked like the prototype for a scoring forward, same with Towns. But LeBron impacts EVERY single possession of the game when he's on the floor one way or the other, and even though he didn't (and in my opinion, still doesn't) have go-to moves and the little intricacies you see from a natural scorer, he still gets the job done on offense. Embiid is more of that mold.

To be short, Towns is and should be a better natural scorer, but Embiid seems to be a better all around player. So I definitely agree with the post quoted, but I disagree with the posts you posted afterward.

More of Town's shots are assisted than Embiid, and you also have to consider the talent around them. The Sixers can't post Embiid up as much as they'd like because it's almost always met with an immediate double team, how much better would Embiid look on offense with LaVine and Wiggins?

And it needs to be said again, Embiid puts so much pressure on the opposing defense, he gets to the line at a ridiculous rate because the dude guarding him is almost always physically overmatched. He went to the line 14 times tonight in 27 minutes, 18 times the other night vs the Bucks. The last time KAT took double digit freethrows was a month ago, Embiid has done it 7 of his last 10 games.

cuz none of this is true
Towns is excellent in the iso
Embiid doesnt drawn an automatic double at all
teams for the most part play him straight up

:dead:

The first play of the game vs the Bucks was a hard double by Jabari, they doubled him all damn game.

Again, more of Towns shots are assisted (62% vs 58%), Embiid is at .88 points per post up, Towns is at .81. The fact Embiid is able to score with the talent around him says enough of his talent, who has the better teammates, Embiid or Towns?

:wtf:

I've watched all of his games, he's been getting doubled all season, anyone who has watched Sixer games can see it.
Joel Embiid: 'Really going to double-team me in my first game?'

His first fukking game he was doubled.

bruh I went to that game live half court seats lower section
so stop
You a philly fan?

He was getting doubled in that game, so it's a figment of his imagination? :wtf: I don't care what you think you saw, from his own words. Does he get doubled every single time, no, but he does see more doubles than Towns.

The Wolves would be better with Embiid, considering their defense is 23rd in the league, they sure could use an elite rim protector and defensive anchor. :sas1:
