The Truth
He’s right

I mean, it’s the Coli so yall gonna do and say what yall want, but he’s correct in his true meaning. It has nothing to do with him being black… even if he was white he would probably have the same view.

He’s basically saying people focus too much on differences, color, and race when overall we’re all apart of one race… the human race.

If I’m not mistaken, MJ was on this type of time too

Yo what kind of conditions do they have in the UK? :dahell:Their version of systemic racism must be paradise compared to ours

They think were too focused on race. Don’t let them accents fool you, they’re just as stupid as any mf over here

Too many Black people think it’s their responsibility to eradicate racism.

I won’t call him a c00n, but that “racism is only as powerful as we allow it to be” comment is terribly misguided. :snoop:

Its absolute bullshyt. Too much of American history has dictated our conditioning for us to even entertain that nonsense

Not paradise at all, nowhere in the West is made for us to succeed :francis:

Americas racism is more overt but we don't have any of the good sides to AA culture like HBCU's or Middle Class Black communities. We're definitely at the bottom of the society.

I get what he's saying after reading the entire piece. Same thing Neil Degrasse Tyson said. He's not denying racism exists, just doesn't want refer to his skin color in regards to his profession. He wants to be seen for his work first and foremost. I get it is wearisome carrying that load throughout life, and as much as he'd like to have it this way, unfortunately it will never happen.

There are some who benefit, mentally and emotionally, by thinking this way but it often feels like a disservice and slap in the face to others in the community.

Being black in this world is a catch 22

I had a black Brit tell me that recently, actually. From this site. LOL please believe black Americans are not dictating these terms. We don’t have the luxury of not “focusing on race”.
