Thread reminds me of a Brotha Lynch Hung interview where he was asked why he doesn't make any "up beat" "happy" songs and his answer was basically.. When he's happy he's happy and living in that moment, when he's not happy and/or angry, sad, and depressed.. that's when it comes out of him to make songs.
