This is a very complex question that requires you to take alot of things into account.

The biggest of which are TV contracts which are usually renewed by the decade. If the NFL has a TV contract with CBS, FOX, NBC, ABC (espn), etc, that's not going to change just because of a mass exodus of black athletes.

However the endorsements and the money behind that would follow the player unless their contracts have clauses that say they must be employed by the league (some do, most don't to my knowledge).

But you have to worry about other things like stadiums, travel, city permits, etc etc. Things that can be established over time but not overnight.

As far as cacs watching it... well there would be nothing to watch if it wasn't on TV due to existing contractual agreements. But lets say it was on TV. The biggest result would be a massive... MASSIVE dropoff in how many people watched sports period.

Some cacs would watch it because they enjoy the sport and want to see the best athletes
Some cacs would watch the old leagues out of nostalgia, tradition, coverage, etc
Some cacs would not watch it out of principle and end up not watching anything

However, down the line I think that NFL and NBA would eventually become MLS status at best if no black people played in those leagues.

However i think the MLB would be just fine.
:comeon: so basically your saying cacs would roadblock shyt at some level..therefore not support it...correct?

If black men were to do this, these cacs would be forced to invest in our leagues because there wouldnt be an nba or nfl without black players :ohlawd:

Nah, I'm sure cac-run organizations making billions of dollars off the backs of blacks would have no issue with them creating their own league and would do nothing to compete/hinder them :troll:

But they (cacs) would lose in the end because you cannot have NFL and NBA without black players.

Funny,

I just not to long ago read the book called "The 40 million dollar slave" where they touched on this subject.

The players have all the control, there's a reason to why that these Drew Leagues, Rucker Parks and other leagues around the country, small venues stay selling out to see these players, I think if these players POOL their resources together and build small arenas then you could start seeing things happen.

The Negro Leagues was a good example, there was excitement and the game was fun to watch compared to the Major League back then...shyt was a snooze fest, no stealing bases, no flashy catches...shyt was boring, thus when Willie Mays came into the Majors, he brought excitement to the game, which at first, like everything, white folks hated it, but then came to love. This shyt was being displayed in the Negro Leagues long beforehand.

I think these dudes Kevin Durant, your Lebrons, etc should sit down and try and give it a shot. Also educated these young black high school kids that are coming out of 12th grade to start going to your HBCU schools. The money will follow.

:jbhmm:I dont understand why this isnt discussed more often? At the least...large corporations would still seek out money partnerships nd deals...or would our athletic talents/skills suddenly be "not a huge deal now? :mjpls:..."They just put a ball in a hoop or a goal"

The main reason why it is not spoken about is that these players sign non-compete clauses. LeBron can't go play for a European team, so he would not be able to play for an All Black league team either. You think these contracts aren't ironclad? :usure: :mjlol:

now, as far as suspending disbelief for a second...if the league was started by all blacks and allowed whites to enter then YES whites would support it
If the league was started by all blacks and did not allow whites to enter... then YES whites would support it, but some would boycott/pickett, call them racist names etc. it would get a lot more flack

It's worth noting though that in 30/40 years from now when LeBron, Melo, CP, etc. are no longer tied to a given NBA contract or team, whether or not they could start this. It would take an incredible amount of infrastructure (buildings, branding, TV time, paying players salaries, etc.) to legitimize it and I doubt these millionaires want to dump all of their money into a startup league to take on the NBA which is already established.

The Quarterback play would be so fukking terrible:russ:

Do you guys realize that alot of the good offensive linemen are white and that a good 95% of good defensive linemen are black? Their would be 5-6+ sacks a game and running backs would average 40 yards a game:mjlol:. That's not to mention that you retain 99% of the DB's in the league so you will have a major dropoff in terms of offensive production while defenses will still be just as talented.

Its a GREAT idea, but you have the problem of getting all these players to agree to do that and that's NEVER going to happen.

- They all would have to sacrifice a ton of money, and many of them would ask, "why am I doing that again"?

- This would take years of planning and cooperation. If they were to quit the NBA and NFL this summer, it would be years before they could get their own league started. Meanwhile, no dough.

- I don't think however that they would have to build arenas. Arenas already exist and they are not exclusive to NBA/NFL games.

- Yes the NBA/NFL owners are going to try EVERYTHING to block this from happening.

some spring/summer gridiron leagues to build communities would be a more realistic option
organizing barnstorming tours that run in the off season
using that to make a way for the seeds of talent in the hood

but it's all just wishful thinking
