These people swear that people gonna listen to Trap music in the year 2030 AD. It numbs your brain and the music itself ages like milk. That's why these new producers and these trap stars have to release new material every month; cause the effect of the music is very short lived and cannot withstand the tides of time itself.
We been listening to the same beats since 2009. At this point, when it loses its dominance, its gonna be ugly and a lot of people's careers gonna be stalled like T-Pain's.
I'm saying though
That's why I think we are going thru an anti intellectual phase in hip hop(despite 2 out of 3 of the biggest rappers being intellectuals and possibly drake if you live and think like a sensitive phaggot)
People are knocking conscious lyrics and laid back atmospheres for trap beats and bars with 3 words. Even white folks

na, what you said about trap is pretty much is pretty much how every black genre of music in America at some point outside of maybe Gospel and early Soul music was viewed by whites. HipHop and Rock were not seen as threats or anti establishment musics early on at all.

You can be normal and listen to Trap and not have it affect you because you have a solid foundation of parenting and good societal influences. But a lot of people in the hoods and shyt don't have that so it reinforces a negative lifestyle but in a positive way that a lot of them don't know any better from. And these people in the hoods and Ghettos don't have the positive influences to counteract that so as he says they become even more ignorant because they are constantly listening to a message of ignorance/violence/ is good.
