If an NBA player doesn't win a ring, should you not enjoy watching him?

the hall of fame in every sport includes players that haven't won titles. it's obvious you can enjoy watching a great athlete and appreciate their talent even if they haven't won a title.

I agree with your post, though I am completely guilty of this, but only when my team loses. If they lose the game, they could have a quintuple double. If they lost the game, it might as well have never happened in my mind.

Anyway, I agree with the thread...I just enjoy seeing different peoples games and how effective(or ineffective) they are on the court. And sometimes go out to the courts and try to emulate their style because it might fit how you play.

Problem is with a guy like Carmelo Anthony...I know the team I root for will never will a championship with him as their best player. That's all I care about as a fan.

You really think Im not enjoying the games? Sports are my life outside of work.

The inner workings of the Knicks and how much they coddle Melo is what annoys me more than anything...but once the game starts Im not thinking about anything else other than the game as a fan.
