Why do y’all keep saying this? Oil prices are based on supply and demand. Biden banned Russian oil. At the same time he wants people to return to work. In other words he wants to restrict the supply of oil while simultaneously increasing the demand. That means higher oil prices. It’s not that hard.People really think the President influences gasoline prices.
You know there's a common maxim in politics that basically says Presidents shouldn't take credit for the economy or wall street. Because if you own the successes you have to own the failures. And since you don't really impact them directly (or at the very least your policies take time to show results) it's better to just shut the fukk up.
You’re wasting your time, shills can’t/won’t read. The same people that are saying biden doesn’t influence gas prices are the same ones saying trump was responsible for a global pandemic. The President does influence the gasoline prices, here is an article which talks about it.
How A President Can Impact Gasoline Prices
Even governors can influence gasoline prices. Here in California we have the highest priced gas due to extra taxes on gas and Gavin Newsom wants to suspend the gasoline tax increase:

Oil is used for literally everything that is produced/manufactured. Food, gas for cars, plastics, etc etc. It’s not just gas. When oil prices go up everything else will as well. I guarantee your grocery bill has increased. Are yall really living that tight that this is an issue? This has like zero impact on me. I live off half of what I make so gas could go to $6-$7 dollars and I'd be fine.
Live well below your means.
America imports 8% of its oil/petroleum products from Russia. First people say trump is allied with Russia then say he would do the same thing as Biden. If trump is allies with Putin why would he intervene in the Ukraine and ban Russian oil?America only gets 3% of gas from Russia, the prices are set globally. If Chump was in and Russia did the same shyt, the prices would be the same. In not even a fan of Jim Crow Joe, but I aint feeling the subtle Trump meat riding that folks doing right now
So you wrote a dissertation to admit you were wrong?lol
I mean someone tagged me with some articles showing how a President CAN impact gasoline prices. If I recall, I think it was behind a paywall or my ad blocker didn't let me skim through it.
But sure, I'll admit that a President's policies CAN impact gasoline prices. But there are so many factors that no one is going to have the patience to have a nuanced discussion about it. So I'll stand by my comment that Presidents typically aren't immediately responsible for most economic incidents.
Of course, the general public is ignorant to these kinds of things. "Gas is high. Thanks Biden!" Alright. If you go for that low hanging fruit, sure...
The president doesn’t have control over the feds policies and Biden choose Jerome Powell.Lmao Trumps policies paved the way for this hyperinflation that we have now.
More specifically, the Fed chair Trump chose who recklessly printed money into a full blown economic crisis.
The funny thing is people predicted dumbasses of the future blaming it on the next administration or stimulus checks back in 2020.
Coli never fails to deliver

Biden literally said gas prices will rise because of the ban on Russian oilButtigeg on some BS, but Biden is actually right as much as we don't like it. Presidents don't control gas prices and never have, you should be mad at Putin.
I don't even like Biden like that (voted Bernie in the primaries) but it's irrational to be mad at somebody for something they can't change.
You’re an idiot if that’s your takeaway. So you wrote a dissertation to admit you were wrong?

Trillions of dollars was printed for Wallstreet for the Cares Act (probably more Congressional fukkery here but Trump did influence this) and his policy had them not paying taxes. The president doesn’t have control over the feds policies and Biden choose Jerome Powell.![]()
