Dave East's isn't wack, just plain. It really depends on the beat. He sounded dope on For The Family, Bad Boy On Death Row, No Hook, and a good amount of story-telling type tracks, but he doesn't sound right on any trap style beats (if you wanna call them that).
A lot of new dudes in rap have bad voices in general, especially if they're under 25. And that's weird too, cause you can go back years ago to see rappers at that same age who still had dope voices. 20 year old Nas, Bone Thugs who were all 18-21 sounded dope then, and several others. FF to now and these dudes have such whiny scared straight ass voices, like they hesitate when they get in the booth.
