Indiana is the perfect situation for a good point guard. Everything else is established. Maybe add a couple Kyle Korver types, we'll be straight.

To be fair, there's only one Killer Kyle in the NBA. But y'all can trade for his knock-off in NY tho...

CP stays in North Carolina in the offseason.

He doesn't strike me as a big market dude. He just wants to WIN.

The thing is as much as players claim they want to win, the NBA is all about Ego, being seen and getting mad love from the hoes and to some lesser degree...the bros (no collins).

Before the heat series, how much casual fans even knew what a Hibbert or Prince George is.

CP3 is Cliff Paul, in LA, going to all the black tie affairs, always on the red carpet, getting crazy love as the "man" in LA. As Pac said "to live and die in LA, its the place to be". You have to live here to understand, if you are King or a prince in this city, then basketball comes secondary.:whew::whew::whew:

I get all this, but when he asked to be traded from New Orleans didn't he pretty much want a bigger market than where he was?

no it had nothing to do with market. the hornets weren't commited to winning. plus he was still mad at them for firing byron scott and trading chandler

still over the luxury tax. it is illegal and can't be done even if you gave up all your young players and picks

NYK is stuck with the core they have.

Well we can do it if we end up under the luxury tax after the trade . Isn't that how it works

what does market have to do with winning.

if this nig*a wanna WIN he would take a paycut and play in Idaho if it were the case

if this nig*a wants to make headlines he stays in LA and accept a first/second round exit.

I never got why people act like if you're not playing in LA NYC or Chicago people won't acknowledge you ..

this is why. The bigger markets get more coverage. A casual fan will probably know more about JR Smith than a Roy Hibbert. Its just how the system is setup. Look how much people know nothing about Mitch Richmond , thats because he played the majority of his time for the Kings. Some people dont even know there are teams called the Kings or bucks

No. Teams over the luxury tax are not permitted to do a sign and trade. Period.
Ok we'll don't the pacers have to trade granger to get the space and resign west ? Who's trading for a 30 yr old with bad knees making 14 mil ? It won't be that easy to do it now . They should of did it before the Allstar break

Living in Indiana though...

Indianapolis is actually a nice city. Those stars travel so much that it wont even be such a big deal for most of them. Not everyone is JR Smith and always looking to lay pipe down at a club.
