Even from the opening tip next season, I don't think he will be anything close to the D. Rose of old. In fact, I really feel like hes going to be more of a facilitator, and drive to the basket less. The mental hurdles will be there for a long time IMO
This would be a great option for Paul but will he listen to Vogel or will he do his own thing out there? But if he is serious about winning that would be a great landing spot for him. But this has a slim to none chance of happening and slim is outta town.

Agreed, even though its an expiring contract they would have to take back a bad contract....and they cant afford to do that.
At worse, you hold on to him, slide Paul George to SG and make Stephenson the 6th man......and then let Grangers contract come off the books, or trade at midseason to fill holes

Like I said, they can afford CP3 but they would have to unload Granger first. It doesn't have to be a sign and trade. If they get the room and CP3 signs a 4 year Max then it's that.
