Because console gaming has been cemented in the average home and gamers want to play with their friends...
If the gaming industry was CREATED today and everyone just chose, PC gaming would probably be picked... but that isn't how it is.
People want to play with their friends, it is established that most of the average gamer's friends are on consoles, who feels like taking ont he crusade of convincing all of their friends to get a worthwhile pc to play games with eachother.
I'm willing to bet most people on forums and off have most friends getting consoles...why the fukk be the lone wolf on a pc?

I got a friend that's been talking about going PC for the past year...he was on a campaign to convince all of us to ditch consoles and go PC so we can eat.
Once he realized everybody wasn't trying to do all that....after the reveal he's now debating with me what consoles is the best to get.

Oh as far as this thread is concerned? It's mostly because consoles are standardized/closed systems. The pc is never going to be the number one option, but that's ok...It's the best platform overall due to its flexibility. The console model might be coming to an end anyway so it's all up for debate in the next 7-8 years
