what?
I never said it wasn't easier to optimize a game for consoles. I said to go along with that, consoles are optimized for games. Which is why consoles are able to squeeze so much performance out such shytty parts.
you called it an innovation and then claimed console manufucturers have something to do with that...whereas all it is is devs being able to optimize shyt because of one standard cuz EVERYONE has the same shyt in their box

Ive read it and replied to it

again, if there were 15 versions of xbox with different RAM and GPUs there would be NO optimization, period.
and you are right, you are not explaining shyt to someone who has a MS in CS![]()

$500 and $60-70 a game is cheaper than $1200 and $20-30 a game![]()
if you bought 5 games for your console that would be $800 ($60 average)
if you bought those same 5 games for your PC it would be $725 total ($25 average)

2 things.
1.) Nobody has EVER seen me say "platinum thread baby" because I don't do threads for numbers. My threads just so happen to... do numbers
2.) I killed this thread with my first response. Why is this fakkit ass thread still going?
PC heads are using XBOX controllers. Xbox heads are NOT using keyboards n mice.
Xbox One has the azure cloud computing to help take the online gaming to a new level that surpasses what was standard on PC
Most PC heads will openly not acknowledge that last piece. In fact, pretty much every PC head has ignored what I just wrote because they'd have to face the reality of it.
Video game developers make console games, PC is secondary to them.
So its impossible for PC gaming to be better when they don't even get half the titles consoles get
"But But But World of Warcraft"
And any PC game that is successful ends up getting ported to consoles. Not the otherway around![]()

Naw man, you have no idea what you are talking about, and since I happen to study developing OS's ( Good book for you Operating System Concepts, 6th Edition: Abraham Silberschatz, Peter B. Galvin, Greg Gagne, A Silberschatz: 9780471417439: Amazon.com: Books )
and Game Programming, I'll break it down for you..
Open up Task Manager on your computer and tell me how many of those processes/services running right now are dedicated to "Gaming", I'll wait( all of these process fight for the OS attention ). Believe it or not Desktop OS's are designed to running many types of programs. So when you are running your PC game, you have a lot of things going on In the background that hurts the performance of your game. Consoles don't have to worry about this as they are stripped down to focus only on games, they don't have to worry about running 3D Studio Max, MS Office, antivirus.
Consoles Games also run closer to the hardware than PC games. Desktop OS's have several abstraction layers so they can run across different types of hardware( why you think iOS is faster than android running on the same specs ).
The reason PC games look better and run faster is through Brute Force, the hardware is so much more powerful that it can take the hit of other non-gaming operating activities going on.
So lets say you take a PS3/Xbox( Xbox happens to run a stripped down version of windows) vs a PC with the same specs. When the OS gets the memo from your program to execute this call it goes like this
On the Console, that call will probably pass through 3 layers
On the Desktop, the call will probably pass through 8 layers( again gaming is *NOT* the main concern of any Desktop OS ).
I'm not even arguing PC gaming vs Console Gaming, I'm talking about something build from the ground up(or stripped down) with one thing in mind vs something that was built with general purposes. Next you're going to tell me the home version of Windows is faster( or on par )with the Server version for handling any type of traffic.
I even have audio where John Carmack speaks about this.
Edit: for the record I love all types of gaming, so i'm not taking sides.
I mean if you took the specs of the current consoles and build a PC with the same specs , the games would look like crap.
