Romo hasn't finished a game against a tough defense the last 2 years. We gonna act like Murray didn't rush for 1800 yards in 2014, which is more than what Zeke is on pace for?

But when the run wasn't there they could always pass, which they did with #9

I don't see that happening with #4

The team should be putting up more points

you must have short term memory. he carved up Seatle and Houston in back-to-back weeks in 14. then he beat a very good detroit defense in the playoffs. Romo through for 34 tds that year btw.

2014 Romo doesn't exist anymore. The two years I'm referring to are last year and this year.
Romo played Philly last year, got injured... played Miami, did alright, and then came in against the Panthers and get injured again. This preseason, he was supposed to be healthy and got injured against Seattle. He hasn't been able to withstand hits, so he certainly wouldn't have been lighting up a team like Minnesota who was hitting Dak that whole first half.

Romo had a phenomenal 2014 season, but he didn't do it alone, just like Dak's not doing it alone. Romo had 12 wins in 2014. Dak has 11 and has 3 games to go. They essentially have the same teams. Murray and Zeke are about the same level. Same o-line. Dez, Witten, Terrance Williams, Beasley... all the same offensive players. Essentially the same no-name players who are punching above their weight.

With the love affair Jerry Jones has for Romo it's only a matter of time.

Jerry already mentioned this, he actually kinda wishes it happens

I think Romo is going to get his opportunity," Jones told the New York Daily News on Thursday. "I don't want it to happen. But I think he may get his opportunity to get us a Super Bowl.”

But wait, what about Prescott? You know — the rookie with a 108.6 passer rating, 19 touchdowns and only two interceptions?

“While that's a mixed bag when I think about it — that means you don't have Dak out there — but it means, what a story, one for the ages, if he'd step in there and this year help us win a Super Bowl on the field with his skill,” Jones said. “That can happen here. We're not talking about a bus driver out there. We're talking about a guy who can go out there and move our team.

Jerry Jones: Tony Romo will play part in Cowboys' Super Bowl run

You cowboy fans know the drill with Jerry.

I'm sure the majority of people calling for Romo now will be those who believe he should've returned as the starter as soon as he was healthy again anyway.

I think these next 2 games, especially coming off of this loss, will be the measuring stick for Dak's "readiness" for the playoffs - a resurgent 8-5 Buccs pushing for the division title and a 9-4 Lions team trying to hold on to the division lead will tell us a lot. I hope he puts in some convincing performances.

its hard to judge a WR play without judging every down, but from the looks of it. dude has made some explosve plays this year and has big games despite injury an ddespite a scheme that isnt really meant for big plays down the field. this is a moot point though, because Dak has consistently missed recievers down the field, an area he struggles with. as for witten, I mean he is better statistically up to this point then he was in 14 with Romo. But again, this may be a moot point because Dak often checks down to Witten instead of getting the ball down the field consistently.

And Romo's stock hasnt risen per se, its just that people are actually watching the games. It would be one thing if Dak was carving up defenses, but he's not. hes had his moments but he has his limitations in the passing game. he's left ALOT of meet on the bone despite the 11-2 record. that might haunt us come playoff time, so thats why youre hearing romo's name.

I asked a "yes or no" question? Are they as good now as they were in the past? Are they as good as TO and co. right now?

He went from a choker who can't get a team over the hump in the playoffs to the guy needed to get the team over the hump in the playoffs :dead:. How is that not a rise in stock? Romo has limitations in terms of staying on the field and he hasn't exactly set the world on fire in the postseason his damn self. And there are no guarantees that the guy we all know from the last decade is still there at the age of 36. People are acting as if the guy from 2014 has just been frozen in time and will just appear with no rust or his own limitations that come with age and injury and his own :mindblown:, Farvian decision making.

I have never seen a guy go 11-2 in their FIRST 13 starts and receive this level of scrutiny. Is he perfect? No. Is prime Aaron Rodgers sitting behind him? No.

like I said before, Dak is gonna start to fall off at the tail end of the season. When playoffs come around, i don't think Dak is ready to ball out in the offs. Romo will be the starter at some point this season imo.
Dak Throwing 2 picks last night wasn't a good look :francis:

If Dak continues to struggle, should Romo replace him?

Romo is 11-9 vs the NY, and 0-1 in the playoffs. Dark losing to NY shouldn't be the median in whether or not Dak should be benched.

Its not just the one loss to NYG that Cowboys fans want him replaced. Its the last 2 games of poor play which looks like its starting a trend.
