If Geno Smith doesn't get a chance in New York, I'm done.

:heh:
the jets pretty much have the same weapons aside from brandon marshall (I hope you dont consider devin smith a huge change for this year).
aside from marshall all their playmakers were there last year

This isn't true. We strengthened the line and have a healthy Decker alongside Marshall, in addition to Devin Smith, Thompkins and Enunwa. Every receiver and TE we had last year but Decker has been benched this year.

brandon marshall now is able to make some of the worst weapons in the league into some of the best ? :usure: :mjlol:

Brandon Marshall, a healthy Decker, Devin Smith and Thompkins/Enunwa is a very good receiving corps. Marshall's stats are similar to OBJ's and when healthy Decker is one of the best #2's in the league.

And he has played admirably with those weapons so what reason would the Jets have to bench him? Just admit you wanna see the breh over the white boy and keep it moving.

He's too old, has a weak arm and a crappy career. He's not winning shyt.

Enunwa and Thompkins don't even have 25 receptions combined. Stop. Decker was there last year. Those guys + Marshall couldn't turn the 'worst' receiving core to one of the best-and it simply isn't true. Shiiiit an Antonio brown or calvin Johnson can't do it, much less Marshall . The truth is the Jets receiving core wasn't close to the worst last year. And they got better this year with bmarsh. Stop using hyperboles in order to cape for Geno.

SINY!!
Different head coach, different front office......not a chance he returns next season IMO. Whether fair or not, the new regime is gonna be looking to find their own guy (whether its free agency or the draft). Part of it are his struggles. The most bothersome aspect of Genos game is the turnovers. Any coach can live with/fix bad mechanics, bad decisions that don't lead to TOs, etc......but in football, its all about TOs.....you can't win in the league if you give away the ball.

Fitzpatrick has played well, and if it aint broke don't fix it. Geno is more then talented enough to get another shot someplace else, it just won't be here in NY

He is an Ivy League guy wit a very high football IQ. Doesn't matter if he is weak armed. If he can produce opportunities for his WRs to load up in yards after the catch, its not a big deal.

Ivy League football IQ, if such a thing exists, has no obvious correlation to winning anything. Of course it matters that Fitz is weak-armed. The only reason the Jets have won 7 games so far is because of an elite defense, not Fitz's gigantic brain. He does just enough to win and mostly against weak defenses. That's not a reason to continue playing him.

Decker was injured until late last year and from what I remember we were playing Kerley, who was benched, and a UDFA, who is now out of the league. Last year Geno had one of the worst receiving cores in the league with a 5'9 slow slot receiver; an injured Decker; a UDFA TE and UDFA receiver.

Moreover Fitz locks onto two receivers but others are open in Enunwa, Devin Smith and Thompkins. Fitz just doesn't see them. Like I said, Marshall has stats similar to ODJ this season. He is very, very good. He has literally turned Fitzpatrick into a borderline playoff QB and singlehandedly won us games. We didn't have him last year, or a healthy Decker, or as good a line. That's not caping; it's the facts.

He deserves a chance somewhere but at the same time Ryan has performed well and doesn't deserve to lose the starting spot either.

Jets' D has actually been super overrated the last few weeks

Problem with Geno is Fitzpatrick is playing well right now. He was meh earlier, but right now he ballin out.

Another problem is Geno probably won't get other shots while Fitzpatrick is only an option now because he has gotten many chances. He's playing like a QB with a crapload of experience. Same with McCoun and all the other backup-starter hybrids.

My thing is...will Geno and other QBs like him get chances with other teams and the opportunity to learn the position and gain experience. I doubt it.

Sounds like you a Geno fan, not a jets fan. I want my brothers to succeed and prosper, though it has to be the right brother, not them brothers who get money and turn their back on black community. Obviously, I don't know Geno personally so I can't pass that judgement, just something I had to learn.

Now, hopefully he gets another shot elsewhere and he succeeds.
