If Geno Smith doesn't get a chance in New York, I'm done.

Ivy League football IQ, if such a thing exists, has no obvious correlation to winning anything. Of course it matters that Fitz is weak-armed. The only reason the Jets have won 7 games so far is because of an elite defense, not Fitz's gigantic brain. He does just enough to win and mostly against weak defenses. That's not a reason to continue playing him.
... and not turning the ball over... but it's not really that important in football... carry on.

For some reason, this dumb cac keeps posting in my thread. You don't know shyt about football and have yet to make a football point, so shut the fukk up.

I know that Geno Smith has a lot of growing up to do before he'll ever be a successful QB in the league. He's not a leader and isn't respected by his teammates or the Jets.

A month ago he called a reporter asking to interview him a "dyck head." Was the reporter a dyck head? Possibly, but all Geno had to say was sorry not today and KIM. He's in the biggest media market in the world. He has to realize every little thing he does or says is going to be scrutinized and talked about.

He's late to practices, he was kicked off a Virgin airlines flight for not getting off his phone when repeatedly asked, then there is the whole IK Enemkpali incident that we all know about.

Yes, Geno has talent and should get another start somewhere in the league, but he needs to model his career after Killah Cam or Russell at this point in time. Grow up, earn the respect of his teammates, and not turn the ball over so much.

There I've made a football point.

He is an Ivy League guy wit a very high football IQ.

If you watch Fitz from week to week you would know how wrong this is. He constantly does dumb shyt with the football and has no idea how to slide to avoid contact(which is how he hurt himself last year and this year)

I think Geno has talent but like was said earlier, he was drafted by a different GM and head coach. The Jets have moved on without him. It boils down to one thing: Life ain't fair :yeshrug:

Jets fans need not be gassed by Firz playing well vs a team that may be he first in NFL history to give up 300 yards passing per game.

Either way, I liked the way Geno played down the stretch last season when the Jets gave him time to throw.

He'll get a chance to play elsewhere. He never had a real chance here playing around shyt and with an impatient racist ass fan base

He is an Ivy League guy wit a very high football IQ. Doesn't matter if he is weak armed. If he can produce opportunities for his WRs to load up in yards after the catch, its not a big deal.
High IQ?

Dude throws the same amount of picks per pass attempt as Geno. Where do you guys come up With this stuff?

That's different. You said per attempt, not game.

Per attempt is obviously more telling of a stat.
I think having a career throwing to Clyde Gates, David Nelson, Stephen Hill, Santonio Holmes, Winslow Jr., Greg Salas and numerous bums plays a huge part in his failure. Along with playing with a shytty line.

Jets fans are the type who would say "put in a no playbook in college Petty" into the game, ruin him while blaming Geno's shytty first year when he shouldn't have played at all.

He will play well elsewhere. I saw enough down the stretch to know that he turned a corner.

I'm not here to shyt on Geno, I just don't get the premise of this thread. Fitz has been playing better than expected. I'm curious to know what game(s) Geno would have won that were lost this year.
