i'm not making an argument that those are the only two choices, i simply presented two choices. If there are others feel free to add them. I also did not claim that because one is then the other isn't. Or that one is right and one is wrong.

You really should look up what false dichotomy means as it does not apply here.

I don't want to prolong an argument with nit picky details, but that is EXACTLY what you said...

I understand it's difficult to comprehend particularly when you don't believe in God but that's the answer IMHO. You can choose to believe and have a relationship with God and go to heaven or choose not to and don't go to heaven everything else is just noise.... :manny:

I think YOU should look up the definition of false dichotomy, as it directly applies to your own statement.

Another problem I have with that statement is that you are assuming that there even IS a heaven.

Not exaclty that, Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins so that we may be saved. he took our sin and was sacrifices for it and so we are no longer bound by sin but free in him. but thats the thing we can still refuse to follow God and choose to live in sin.

God allowed free will and with our free will we choose sin.

the Cause of Human pain and suffering are/is Humans themselves
you are not making sense

A false dilemma, or false dichotomy, is a logical fallacy which involves presenting two opposing views, options or outcomes in such a way that they seem to be the only possibilities: that is, if one is true, the other must be false, or, more typically, if you do not accept one then the other must be accepted.

You can choose to believe and have a relationship with God and go to heaven or choose not to and don't go to heaven everything else is just noise....

of course i'm assuming there's a heaven i'm assuming theirs a god. That's what a blind belief is, an assumption that something is there with no proof. I don't think that's the gotcha moment you wanted it to be though :manny:

Just curious, would you still have a relationship with God if there was no Heaven? Or do you only have a "relationship" with Him because you believe you are going to be rewarded for it?

I'm not looking for a "gotcha" moment breh. Just having discourse.
