it's like comparing Shaq to Hakeem, Nas being Hakeem. both are on the Top 5 Centers ever list but they had extremely different approaches to playing the position. Hakeem was much more technically sound, Shaq was brute force, a monster, he was bigger than just basketball. if someone wants to say Shaq (Pac) is better there's nothing wrong with that, though i'm sure the lovers of technical skills would say Hakeem (Nas) is.

everybody got average songs my dawg....i aint saying otherwise. but nas got way more filler than pac and it aint because he lived longer..... pacs batting avg. is a lot higher than nas's

by the way..speaking of condensing records..if u condense all eyez on me its a lot more than solid breh :jawalrus:
Eh yea I can see what you mean. IDK I'd have to break down their overall tracks but you may be right. It seems like Pac had a lot of filler when you consider all of the Outlawz verses, and he made some laid back type songs that I just wasn't feeling a lot of the time. But at the same time Nas does have a number of mediocre/bad tracks too.

Looking at their discogs/work as a whole, I would say they are about equal imo. I'm in the minority that thinks God's Son and Nastradamus are decent albums though, and I'm not a fan of LIG or Untitled like some others are.

Pac had a number of average songs on his albums too (although if some of his double discs were condensed they easily could have been solid front to back). Plus he always had like 50 guest artists on all of his albums, and they usually sucked.

u aint lie. maybe a exception or 2 but all pac's guest artists going back to thuglife were str8 azz and pretty much added nothing except for the $5 bucks they chipped in on the henessey bottle.

dru down:comeon:
big syke:bryan:
the outlawz:camby:

the list goes on

Street's Disciple is another album that would have been soo much better if it was condensed down to 12 tracks or so (not a classic or anything, but it would've gone from a shytty album to a decent one). SMH at double disc filler

And thinking about it, I think Nas has the most solid albums (between Illmatic, IWW, Lost Tapes - where I only skip over like 2 tracks combined, compared to 2 or 3 on each of Pac's most solid albums front to back). But Nas also has a couple of garbage albums, whereas Pac doesn't have any (ignoring Pac's Life).

Wtf you talking about. I said I was not counting Pac's Life - since that did come out after his death and he had nothing to do with it. It was a wack album, but like I said I ignore it.

And Pac still had albums come out after his death that were better than some of Nas' albums, so I don't feel like I shouldn't be mentioning his posthumous albums at all.

Lol you're just mad at me for hating on the wack ass Outlawz :umad:

And Pac still put out those verses when he was alive. There hasn't been any discussion in this thread saying "ignore everything by Pac that was put out after his death." (well other than by you of course). I still think that stuff is relevant to the discussion when comparing discographies. And like I said, a lot of Pac's albums that came out after his death were really good. Why the fukk are you hating on me for giving props to Pac's music? :childplease:

When talking about an artists discography and that artist dies you never count the posthumous work if you're trying to make a point. It didn't have his artistic thought when it was made and he had no control on who can be on that album.

Exactly..that plain ass boring ass nikka even being compared to Pac is an abomination :scusthov:

The straight b*stardizing of this classic :scusthov:

Y'all must not seen pac perform before, he forgot words to some of his songs all the time while on stage, NaS did it right besides being stale and boring.
