If Jay Z’s catalog got deleted today, Hip Hop would be the same and nothing is gonna change

Uh it’s not a weird assumption. When I say relevancy I’m talking about his relevancy across demographics outside of just Hip Hop. Y’all are the weirdos because y’all don’t interact with different groups of people.
:what:nikka…… you on a HIP HOP forum, the fukk are you talking about “across demographics”, who gives a shyt?

:russ:Jay has to be the most hated goat in hiphop. I mean Pac, Nas, and Big get hated on from time to time. But the love they get generally outweighs the hate. Jay tho…people talk about bruh, like they have a nasty taste in their mouths(pause). Some people don’t even call him by his name lol. They call him Beyonce’s husband. People won’t love Jay until he’s in the dirt.

No Jay means no:

No Kanye
No Rihanna
No Beanie Sigel

And if there's no Kanye, that changes pretty much the sound of music over the last 20 years drastically. For better or for worse.

So this is blatantly wrong, even if you don't like Jay's music.
Wayne would have never been more than a Hot Boy either

No, I mean clone as in these new rappers...

I can look out the window and probably spot a Random Lil Wayne clone..

Jay is from an era where clones didn't blow up. That is why it is laughable that people use "clones" as the end all/be all of influence. Bathgate, Angelous, and ROC were all Jay Z clones. They never blew up beyond mixtapes and guest spots. Nobody was interested in hearing a Jay Z clone that wasn't as good as Jay Z. This generation is different. You will accept and even say the clone is as good if not better than the original.
