If Johnny Manziel deserves all these chances, the NFL needs to reinstate WR Justin Blackmon

So then it's about talent and not about off the field shyt then. Using this logic, why does anyone give a fukk about Justin Blackmon in damn near 2016?

Now think of it as a Browns organization exec. If not for Manziel, nobody would ever talk about or give a fukk about the organization. That's a hard thing to let go.

You know as well as I do that the NFL gives more chances to dudes who are highly talented. This is why the league puts up with outspoken dudes like T.O and Ocho, but as soon as they lose a step and get into their mid 30's, nobody touches them even though they can still play.

Look at Greg Hardy, hell of a player, but if he was a scrub he wouldn't have gotten his shot with them boys.

Every fan of football should know this already.

He hasn't been suspended cause he hasn't got in trouble..they have nothing to suspend him for

But teams can cut you if they don't like what they see.

Jamarcus Russell didn't really get into trouble either, but the Raiders couldn't wait to cut ties with his ass.

Do you see my point? Manziel has been fukking around, got let off lightly by the law, and he is kept around even though he's not a good player. Josh McCown was starting over him....

Justin Blackmon was the #5 overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, going to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Earlier this year his application for reinstatement to the league was denied, and he's on suspension indefinitely for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Though very few details seem to be available, it looks like Blackmon had some issues with marijuana and 1 DUI.
He hasn't played since October 27, 2013.

I think he's served enough time for what amounts to be nothing major.

Meanwhile there's talk about Johnny Manziel not only getting YET ANOTHER chance to quarterback the Cleveland Browns....people in the media are arguing that Manziel deserves a chance to take Tony Romo's job with the Dallas Cowboys.

you do know weed is illegal and johnny has NO charges of any kind in the NFL

i mean they don't want him to drink and party... but it ain't a fukking crime.. and with the number of nikkas playing with all sorts of charges, to include some forms of murder... it's obvious the nfl gives no fukks, as long as you can play

Pics of him about to snort coke....

Going to rehab....

Fighting with his girlfriend...

video of him drinking and acting a fool in the club...

When the team tells you enough is enough, and you still keep doing the same shyt...you've been given chances. Keep in mind this man hasn't even been suspended.

harden had pics of him looking like he was on some coke just a few weeks ago.

he put himself in rehab.

no charge, they can't suspend him for that.

"drinking and acting a fool in the club" you seriously going to condemn him for what damn near 95% of sports players do.

this man hasn't even been suspended, yet he got made the third string QB for drinking during a bye week. come on man, acting like manziel has gotten too many chances is just ridiculous. he's getting benched over and over.

Josh Gordon has the talent to be one of the best wr's period.

Manziel does not have the talent to be even a top 10 qb in this league.
innocent till proven guilty :sas2:

you keep missing that fact.. soon as he catches that arrest, he'll be sat down like the rest

He tried to play in the CFL, but in order for the CFL to sign him, the NFL had to remove the ban.
And they wouldn't.

This happened in September of this year

The NFL held his football playing career hostage in a completely different league.

:mindblown:

Raul the hoe ass NFL loaned money to the CFL a few years ago with the stipulation that a banned player from the NFL must get approval from the NFL before a CFL team can sign them.

The NFL also made a stipulation with that loan that CFL games can only be broadcasted in America with the NFLs approval.

Just some hoe shyt all around from the NFL.

felt bad for him this year when he was denied reinstatement, as someone whose struggled with addiction i understand to a degree (i dont know his personal life)

top 5 college wideout i ever saw, dude was incredible

He was starting to come on for the Jags too. Him, Robinson and Hearns would be a good 3 receiver set.

Because he's a top 5 pick being blackballed from the league for 1 DUI and some weed.

:stopitslime:
I agree getting suspended for weed is bs. But the league has a policy in place. They're supposed to change their whole policy for Justin blackmon?

Bkackmon is different level prospect than Manziel and he showed that on the field when he played.

The main issue I have with Manziel is that he gets all this attention when he's not that good. It's not like his off field antics are preventing him from balling on the field. To me its his off field antics are preventing everyone from knowing he can't ball on the field.

And that's where his White Privilege kicks in. His coaches know he can't play hence why he has failed to beat out now THREE career back ups for playing time. Yet still, there's a lead story on ESPN about the guy right now.

Tyrod Taylor wouldn't even be on the roster under the same circumstances.

:sas2:
Umm Johnny manziel was a first round draft pick though and highly touted coming out of college. This is comparing apples to oranges.
