How do you know what was being said in the 80s. Jordan didn’t have a team to compete in the 80s. When did, when he did get that team, he beat everybody in his way. When Lebron finally got the team he needed, he still choked to the Mavs and proceeded to lose some more after. I remember those Kobe threads in the SOHH, but guess what? When kobe got Pau, he won 2 out of 3 finals he made after. Lebron got Wade/Bosh/Ray/Kyrie/Love now I.T coming back. what more do you want?

The Cavs are not as good of a team as the Warriors, are you trying to say that this puts Lebron's legacy in doubt or something?
What metric are you using for when a player is deserving of criticism for not winning? Jordan didn't win in the 80s, Kobe didn't win Shaq, peyton, etc, and also for a good stretch with a bunch of scrubs. They don't deserve criticism for not winning a team sport while demonstrating the highest level of personal excellence IMO.

No it doesn’t put his legacy in doubt, but he can never be GOAT. And my you know what I meant. The other nikka I argued with said Kobe had all stars and hall of famers, which he did but so did Bron. You hopped in the argument talking something different. Lebron has had help all decade long. That was the point I was making to the other nikka. Bron is not GOAT and he has had help.

There's no logic to your argument. 'If you're good enough to make it you're good enough to win'? That's crazy talk. By that logic anyone good enough to make the playoffs is good enough to win. Anyone good enough to be in the NBA should be good enough to be MVP. That removes all levels and nuance and makes 0 sense. If you on an 8th seed are you then good enough to beat a 1 seed just cause you there? My nikka thats crackhead logic. There are reasons for everything and reasons why one team beats another. To dismiss them is to choose to make the least nuanced argument possible. In all of those Finals Bron played great and they lost to clearly better teams OTHER than 2011 even though the 2011 Mavs had a historically great run too. The 2014 Spurs, 2015-17 Warriors were better than any team Jordan faced other than maaayyybe Barkley's Suns who could maaayybe be compared to the Spurs. And that ain't to knock MJ, it's just to say those were great teams. LeBron played in 5 Finals where he had a championship level supporting cast, the 1st 3 Heat Finals and the last 2 GSW Finals. They had no real shot against GS last year and lost to the Mavs the first year. Besides that when Bron's had a real shot he's won. To claim their record in the East last year means they should've beat maybe the best team of all time is just kind of dumb

But I just don't see what having help has to do with being GOAT. If Jordan was never joined by another all star his whole career and didn't win a finals does that mean he can't be GOAT even though he is the exact same player, person, etc? If another 1st team all NBA player joins the jazz for the minimum does that detract from Jordan's greatness? I don't see what all that shyt has to do with how you view greatness.

I’m sorry but I’m sick of these excuses that we don’t use for nobody else. You say Lebron lost to teams that were clearly better, nikka just about 80% of teams loses to a team because the team were better. DUHHHH that shyt didn’t start or end with Lebron nikka that’s losing in general. So if we implying this excuse with Lebron, why not apply that with everybody who ever lost anything to somebody who was better. Of course nobody will ever do that. Lebron plays “LeGM” in these teams too and has a hand in changing the rosters, so a lot of those “team losses” is on him as well.
Yes, the warriors are better than any team Jordan faced. And? Lebron has only one title where he completely whiped out a team. 2013, the Heat barely escaped game 6. 2016 he needed to come back down from a 3-1 lead. So two out of the 3 rings he won were just barely in his grasp.
The only time Lebron ever had a “real shot” by your terms was in 2011, and he STILL lost and no. He had about 6 finals where he had a good team. Only 2007 and 2015 is where he was truly at a disadvantage.
Everything else you said is excuses.
