This doesn't even make senseI'm sorry anyone whos 3-5 in the Finals cant be the GOAT, just cant.

It makes perfect sense. If you want to argue hes the greatest of all-time and he's far and away the best player in the NBA, he can not continually lose to teams with "inferior" players. If he loses to GS for a 2nd time against "Beta" non rival Steph Curry and "Beta" Durant he's a fraud. This doesn't even make sense![]()
Being betting favorites doesn't mean you are the better team. Dallas went 9 deep by that point of the season. Miami had an 8 man rotation with 2 players starting that were dead weight and their top two bench players were dealing with major injuries. The mavericks were definitely a better team, key word being team. Miami was the underdog without home court against Oklahoma City the next year but they were the better team on account of their superior depth and experience. Dallas was the underdog in the semifinals without home court against Los Angeles and we all saw how that turned out. The better team almost always wins in a best of 7 series. The only real exceptions I can recall in recent years would be last year in the finals and 2015 when Los Angeles upset San Antonio.Heat were heavy favorites with HCA
Lebron simply dropped the ball that series and way underperformed
How can you rate Kobe so highly when without Shaq or Phil all he was was Gilbert arenas

2009-10 Lakers
The following teams would all dismantle this year's Warriors squad.

WCSF against defending champ Lakers (who returned everyone): 4-0 sweep.
Lakers had
Kobe at 1st-team All-NBA and 4th in MVP voting
Gasol at 2nd-team All-NBA
Bynum at his peak, would be 2nd-team All-NBA the next year
Odom putting up 14-9-3 and winning 6th Man of the Year in a runaway
plus MWP, Barnes, and Blake all at ages 30-31
Ended in a 122-86 embarrassment where Jason Terry outscored Kobe 32 to 17 on fewer shots.
WCF against next year's WC champs OKC: 4-1
Thunder had:
Durant at 1st-team All-NBA and 5th in MVP voting
Westbrook at 2nd-team All-NBA
Ibaka putting up 10 and 8 with 2.4 blocks/game, 2nd in DPOY voting the next year
Harden as a great 6th man coming off the bench for 12ppg, would be 6th Man of the year the next year
plus Seflosha, Collison, Perkins
Ended in three straight Dallas wins after OKC had tied it up 1-1
Finals against next year's NBA Champs Miami: 4-2
Miami had:
Lebron at 1st-team All-NBA and 2nd in MVP voting
Wade at 2nd-team All-NBA
Bosh an All-star putting up 19 and 8 as the third option
Ended in three straight Dallas wins after Miami went up 2-1
In those three rounds, Dallas took out MOST of the All-NBA 1st and 2nd teams, MOST of the NBA's top-5 MVP vote, and they only lost 3 games along the way. They also beat the defending champs AND both teams that would meet in the next year's Finals. That was a sick run. No one can take shyt away from that team.

I'm sorry anyone whos 3-5 in the Finals cant be the GOAT, just cant.
If Lebron gets 8 rings he eclipses Jordan for me IDC about lossesJordan was 6-0 in the Finals.
Bron's probably about to be 3-5.
Bron has that 2011 stain on his resume, also.
If I'm a historian 25 yrs from now looking back in retrospect, I 'd have to give it to Mike.
Heat were heavy favorites with HCA
Lebron simply dropped the ball that series and way underperformed
I don't know how ya'll keep making these same threads every day disguised with a different title just so you can keep arguing about Kobe and MJ being better than LeBron.
We should just make an official thread where ya'll can argue all you want. That joint would be the biggest thread on the site in like a week.
Magic Johnson quality posting there folks![]()
