They had 3 players who were good all season long. Their starting lineup played 4 on 5 defensively and it played 3 on 5 offensively while the starting lineup fielded 2 big men who can't shoot, and a pair of wings who shot 31% and 33% from distance and they also employed one of the worst coaches in basketball. They were far from loaded.

1. Every other coach in the league thinks Spo's a genius. So I don't understand that "Worst coach in the league" logic.

2. I agree. That Dallas team was SOLID while that Miami team was lacking outside of the big 3. And you're right, Wade and Bosh weren't great 3-point shooters, so it presented spacing problems for LBJ. So I'll give you that.

3. BUT countering point number two, even if Wade and Bosh's inability to shoot from outside presented spacing problems for LBJ, LeBron HIMSELF was the weak link of the Big 3 in the 2011 Finals. Wade played well, and played within himself.Wades lack of an outside shot didn't stop him from being productive nor did it stop Miami from winning Game 1 and Game 3, nor did it cause Miami to lose Game 2. The 2011 Finals is one of the rare moments in LBJ's career where you cant just shift blame onto his teammates inabilities and flaws. Wade was efficient and productive as hell, his inability to shoot from the outside wasn't as big of a factor as LBJ not knowing how to play off the ball and being productive, while letting another player take control.

In essence, what I'm saying is, you can't just sum up Miami losing to Dallas in 2011 as Wade and Bosh not being great outside shooters that couldn't compliment LBJ's game. LBJ deserves partial blame for disappearing when he isn't controlling the ball. And that same flaw of LeBron's wouldve shown up that year even if he played on a stacked Western Conference team. Put LBJ on any Western Conference team, and he would've still lost to Dallas in the Western Conference playoffs that year, if he played the way he did in the Finals. Either LeBron has to be a stat stuffer, or he kinda goes dormant. He doesn't know how to find that happy medium. It's even happened with this Cleveland team, where LBJ will send Klove to the corner and clear everyone out. LBJ doesn't have to have those 30/8/8 seasons and series anymore. I think he's just now starting to let Kyrie and Love seize control.
