would people be as nonchalant about it, if more of a serious emcee was exposed.

lets be real, drake is a pop rapper.

most of drake's fans dont really know hip-hop. either they think they do but they dont, or theyre just not into hip-hop at all.

i mean, alot of people thought his chit was trash anyway. how big of a deal could it be?

Here's the thing a lot of people are blatantly ignoring.

Meek dropped a forgettable dis track. He lost the battle.
So the reference tracks and all the tweets just got caught up and lost in the whirlwind.

If meek dropped an actually good dis track it would be a different story

so because meek didnt drop a hot track, that means that we're supposed to forget about the ghostwriting & the reference tracks? LOL.

1.) there shouldnt have even been a battle after those reference tracks were dropped. in fact, drake still hasnt even addressed the situation.
2.) how did he lose the battle? dude dropped a dam sampler track and then got ambushed on social media. people wanted him to "lose" from the door. this thing is far from over.
3.) this meek/drake thing really aint about diss records. cuz drake didnt drop a hot one either. lets be reality.

That's not a sampler track. He put the reference tracks..movie quotes...He put effort into it...And fell flat.

Of course meek is less popular than drake. But can u think of a rapper who people would love to see more than drake? Meeks dis was shyt and unforgettable.

At least drake had some humorous memorable lines.

If meek last track destroyed drake then it would be a different story

No meek had the last track. That's what I'm saying. If it was good people would be talking about that and quoting lines and so on and so forth.
What Meek did was drop a track that is impossible to differentiate from his other yelling tracks. he's the butt of everyone's jokes.

Meek thought that the reference tracks were enough. He should have had an explosive track in the stash to step on drake and squish him into the ground.
the fact he dropped such an embarrassing dis made everyone forget about the reference tracks.

and what do u want?? its 2015
for years the biggest rapper Was a COP! who lied about being a cop. and then admitted to being A COP!

no one cares about credibility. and NO ONE cares about lyrics anymore.
meek could have made this more of a talking point but got embarrassed

Also. Drake was raised on Jay-Z
His fans BEEN changing the rules for years now.

"He doesnt need to battle him."
"Nah..he's paying homage"

Remember when Cam released I'm not a writer im a biter? that was 7-8 minutes of Jay stealing other rappers lines.
If cam released that and exposed a more credible mc would the reaction be different???

games been fukked up

If a less popular rapper was "exposed", then the reaction would have been different. Meek mill wouldn't do that to a less credible/popular person because he doesn't care about them. That wouldn't have gotten him any attention.

Nah I'm beginning to think it wouldn't matter...

I'm still shocked that actual Drake fans don't care that he didn’t write his own shyt.

But then I realized that this a generation of people who have said that lyrics don't matter as long as the song sounds good

So why would they care about who wrote the lyrics that they don't care about in the first place
