but again, that deep rooted slave mentality is still present. the message to black people should have been, and should still be to build our own pristine, clean water fountain and not to beg whites to let us use theirs.

none of my contributions to my community over the past 15 years can amount to the federal advancements that Martin has done...

My commitment to my community is unwavering and impactful....no matter how small you may think it is, it's not insignificant... I'm doing my part and ask that we all do our parts...

Whatever it is that you can do... Even if the part that you do is honoring your leadership role and commitments to your family. That is community building...
